Doc Rivers... will fire himself to dedicate more time to being a general manager since coaching distracted him from building a good team.

If "nobody sees it coming" then it has to be a playoff coach who did reasonably well. So Joerger, Wittman... I can't imagine any other coach getting fired of teams in the playoffs that would be more "shocking" except for Budenholzer, but he was COY no way he gets fired.

That's true, I forgot about that. But Karl is known as being fairly abrasive and he was out for $$$ at the time. I think the circumstances between he and Budenholzer are different enough that I would bet money on it not being Budenholzer.

Edit: Also, they lost in the first round; Hawks made conference finals.

Doc Rivers... Team probably wants him to just coach and not be the GM and coach. Doc sez he can't swing like that so he's out.
