B-Ball Part of Presentation probably means that 1.) They told him he would be playing Center 2.) Lakers are wayy further away from contending than the Spurs.

I took the information as meaning they told him he'd be in commercials compared to the success on the court.

It's really no surprise. Veteran all stars like LMA want to 'win now.' They have no interest in developing rookies like Randle/Russell, waiting for 2016 FA or being a bit player in Kobe's final farewell tour.

no matter how healthy the cavs are, no way they can beat a duncan/aldridge front court and kawhi with another year under him...
then you still got manu and parker, and the best coach in the L to deal with.
