Tom Thibodeou visiting Rockets training camp

Post#1 » by ken6199 » Mon Oct 5, 2015 1:12 pm

Sorry if double posted somewhere. I am not sure if it's a common thing for a head coach (though out of job) to visit another team's training camp. Also seems like they were discussing some post plays, can only guess from Mchale's sign language.

And there's Harden's roll up pants.

Also visiting the Clippers. Nothing to note really, he probably wants to spend time around training camps out of curiosity.

Thibs being Thibs. His idea of a vacation is just to visit and call a lot of people to talk about basketball. Gotta love him.

Dude just loves basketball. I can't speak for every single Bulls fan, but I don't think the majority hate Thibs or anything like that, so I'm glad to see he's still around the game this summer.

Man what I wouldn't give to have him as the Lakers defensive coordinator.

If he ever took an assistant job, he would probably be the highest paid assistant in the league.

Kind of a shame. I love Thibs but his stubbornness really hurts him as a HC. I think he's one of the best assistant coaches of all time and a very good, but very flawed, head coach.

Perhaps this tour of different training camps will guide him a better on how to better deal with the modern player/rest/trust/minute distribution/etc. If he shored those up a bit, he'd be a top coach. Still great, as it stands right now, but poised for burn out at every stop, I'd have to think.

The texans and the university of Texas need to borrow Daryl Morey for a few seasons.

I think he needs to have an offensive coordinator/minutes distribution coach as his top assistant coach then he's good.

Someone like Alvin Gentry as Thibs assistant coach would just be awesome. Too bad Gentry got a HC job, I don't think he will last too long as a HC.
