Yes, but the best way to disrespect someone is to show them that you are completely indifferent to their existence. Arguing does not accomplish that.

I never understand why people need to rip an NBA player as if he's not better than 99.9999% of all other basketball players in the world.

The NBA's "scrub" was probably one high school's best player ever, was dominant in college or overseas, but simply can't go the extra mile and beat the highest echelon of players.

If most people on this forum played Aldridge one-on-one, he'd be the one "dumping" (as you say) on everyone.

pretty clear that LMA is a pretty sensitive dude given some of the stuff hinted at in Portland

LMA wasn't very active on social media. While he was poor against GS (95% of the team was) he has been really solid on the season as a whole, especially defensively.

There were reports from Portland PR people that they were happy Aldridge chose to leave. Apparently, he would do things like back out of advertisements and promotions, but he would be upset when other players would step up to do them in his place. He didn't want the spotlight; but, he certainly didn't like it when the spotlight was aimed at anyone else - which is probably why he felt so threatened by, and was so frustrated with, Lillard.

100x yes. There are too many kids& woman/man-children who take sports way too seriously. It's entertainment to keep us masses placated but I guess the hostility comes out towards what we view because the vitrol people spout on Sports figures / Celebrities is insane considering our anger/hostility should be directed towards something more substantial to our own lives then sports entertainment/celebrity.

There's absolutely little to no chance that this Prius dude is a decent / thoughtful person off-line.

If I was in the NBA I would not have a twitter or would do what most do and merely use it for PR/Marketing reasons.

The twitter community (social media in general for that matter) is an extremely vile community.
