The entire list of centers is just out of place on the list. I mean, I get they were picking centers, but is there really something that prevents people from considering Davis a C, where he plays quite a few minutes? Heck, Lamarcus Aldridge could even be considered a C, too. Or why not Towns - and yes, I get it, people don't vote for rookies and may not consider him a C, either, for whatever reason. I know people love Drummond and Jordan, but those guys just aren't on the level of the other players on those lists, and even some that were left off. Would have been way better to just pick the best players. Having guys like Harden, Millsap and Davis off the list but Jordan, Drummond and even Cousins, who was his ever confrontational self, being suspended on multiple occasions and playing in only 65 games while arguably having a worse season than the aforementioned Towns just seems wrong. At least in Cousins' case, the talent level is there if everything else is off the rails.
Bucket! Bucket!

1st: Davis
2nd: Cousins
3rd: Jordan
Davis isn't a Center and he didn't have a better year than any of the forwards chosen (except maybe George). It also appears winning was a big factor , as every player chosen but Cousins led their team to the playoffs. Davis put up numbers on a 30 win team. I think his omission was valid.

Before saying anything about his FG%, please keep in mind he had the 12th highest usage percentage in the history of the NBA.

Umm that's exactly what I'm saying? His offensive load is huge and he's not getting all of his points purely off dunks, put backs and lobs like Drummond, Whiteside or DJ so his FG% is naturally going to be lower.

Well Drummond doesn't just get points off only lobs and dunks anymore.

He's added some post moves to his game for sure and if he were to get 1st Team over Cousins I would be more understanding but still Cousins offensive repetoire isn't matched by any center in the league.

I agree, Cousins is definitely the best center in the league right now. Town will be sooner then later though in my opinion.

Stop.
Whats sad is that hardens d makes līllard look like all nba defensive team. jk but foreal, lets not forget rockets had the same team with less injuries than last year and they made only the 8th seed in a weak western conference. And then proceed to get raped by the GS after pretty much giving up. Look at what the blazers did this year after being projected to be the 2nd worst team in the league. They did it without ANY interior presence AND the lowest payroll in the NBA with 4 NEW STARTERS, practically new players in every position.
Its not just about stats. Otherwise Cousins makes all NBA 1st/2nd. Lillard made it because not only his stats but his LEADERSHIP and guys love playing with him even though he is a SHOOT FIRST PG.

Re: All-NBA teams 2016 announced
Deandre deserves a place on one of the teams so not sure why there is a huge over reaction at the moment. The C position is pretty bare in terms of who had the biggest impact overall. They play on lottery teams (Cousins, Davis or KAT) and others don't put up the pretty ppg numbers (Jordan and Drummond).
That said:

Davis - 24.3ppg/10.3reb/1.9ast/1.3stl/2blk 18.6 FGA in 35.5mpg
49.3%FG 75.8% 32.%3pt 61games -30-52 record
KAT - 18.3ppg/10.5reb/2ast/0.7st/1.7blk 14.1 FGA in 32mpg
54.2%FG 81.1%FT 34%3pt - 82games -29-53 record
Drummond -16.2ppg/14.8reb/0.8ast/1.5st/1.4blk 13.1 FGA in 32.9mpg
52.1%FG 35.5%FT - 81games - 44-38 record
Jordan - 12.7ppg/13.8reb/1.2ast/0.7stl/2.3blk 6.6 FGA in 33.7mpg
70.3%FG 43%FT - 77games - 53-29 record

60.6%FG 65%FT - 73 games - 48-34
Just from the raw numbers you can see the voters favored winners in Jordan/Drummond over gaudy/empty stats on the lottery teams. Jordan had a huge year and it just not his role on the team to score.. That said putting up 12.7p on 70% shooting with only 6.6fga is an accomplishment in itself. Drummond had himself a huge year and all the hack-a-whoever took away from the impact he had on his team but he led them to playoffs along with Jackson, and broke some records for rebounding this year as well. You gotta reward winners and that's why you see Jordan #1 and Drummond #3

Towns is something special. Hopefully we can get our act together because I think Minny is going to be good real soon and it would be fun to watch those guys battle for the next 5-10 years.
