Nice draft day suits?

Post#1 » by RalphWiggum » Fri Jun 24, 2016 6:01 am

Who is the last NBA player to get drafted wearing a sharp well fitting suit? Not as many clown suits these last few years but I can't remember the last player that didn't have some poor fitting suit that looks like it was bought off the rack at some middling suit shop? It's probably happened a few times but I can't recall...refresh my memory! Simmons was actually decent but still fell short of what I'd call sharp.

I see friends with not much cash show up to weddings looking way better than these guys on the most important day of their lives!

They all look good when compared to the suits worn by Tim Thomas and Drew Gooden.

Holy smoke-- this one is AWFUL. I bet he had George Costanza's problem:

Aside from the Google Glass, I thought Oladipo's suit was great. He went with the classic tie/lapel widths so it won't look quite as dated in 10 years. Tie had a solid dimple at the knot, everything fits solidly. A+

Wow have these guys ever heard of a tailor/getting properly fitted for a suit? At least the guys in the front, can't really see the back people.

I thought Ben Simmons' suit was pretty solid last night. Nothing super flashy, but classy and we'll done.

Hield and Simmons looked sharpest, IMO. Murray was up there, as well.

Lately my favorites were-

1. Devin Booker

2. Giannis Antetokounmpo

Simmons looked good but i wasn't a fan of that gold tie. I hate that Ingram/Wiggins/towns funky look and I hate the no socks and super tight fit look too.

It was, JJ Redick mentioned in a tweet

Yea, I'm quite glad a lot of the baggy stuff in mens style is mostly gone. I don't know how baggy suits were ever a thing, but at that time I didn't really know much to realize. So sloppy looking though, and hemming pants is just so simple to do.
