Too early to consider that this class might be better than anticipated? Not saying for star power but for just quality NBA additions.

I think he's another rookie in this class whose primary impact at the moment is on defense, where I've been hearing very good things, while his offense is a big time work in progress. I've only seen one Lakers game this preseason and he looked very nervous and indecisive, doesn't seem physically or mentally ready to make a big impact offensively. He'll get there though.

His deficiency is mostly physical and he will get there around his 3rd year but his defensive play is a nice surprise. It's still early but Walton created a great defensive scheme and he is doing nice work on his man and help defense. He is not strong enough on the boxouts yet, but he will get there.

Alot of 4 year players and decent amount of european prospects usually in my opinion amount to great role playing potential.
I'm seriously concerned with Ingram, Durant was a totally different player especially in his mindset.

There are a lot of guys who will bloom late, I'm not too worried about Ingram.

Joel Embiid.

https://vine.co/v/5XQTnXB6hUH

10 mins: 5 pts - 7 rebs - 1 block - 1 steal ....I'm starting to feel that with Simmons out, Embiid might avg 20+ppg this year if he gets the minutes.

Joel Embiid tonight 11pts 12 rebounds, 1 block, 1 steal in 14 minutes of play. 7/8 FTs. That is going to be the most devastating part of his game IMO. He's such a load to defend but you can't foul him because he's got a very high % FT shot.

Embiid looks like Shaq, how does he get 12 rebounds in 14 minuts and he puts points in a hurry and he isn't even effective yet.

After the complete and utter failure of my "Neto for ROY" campaign I'm doubly determined to launch the new "Bolomboy for ROY" campaign. I'm hoping the rhyme will help it catch up.

But there will never be a 'hack-a-JoJo'. He's shooting his free throws very well.

Incredible talent.

Just pray he stays healthy the next 10 -12 seasons.

Oh and he's still 19 for 2 more weeks. :D
Good assessment:

Was actually one of my favorite players to watch during SL right there with Juancho HG from the Nuggets. With that Jazz Frontline at full strength I don't see a ton of minutes for him but he's definitely ready to role when his number is called.

I wouldn't be too concerned about Ingram. People were saying the same thing about Russell last preseason.

Kid was clutch in the last minutes. Very impressive.

Too bad that they didnt put his 4th assist in this highlight. It was his best assist and got us back in the last minutes.

Ingram was also a slow started at Duke last year as well. He'll take time to figure out what he can and can't do and he'll settle into maximizing his positives. He'll be fine.

Good showing by the Suns rookies against Dallas, especially Chriss who looks just awesome.

Chriss 17 pts, 6 reb, 1 ast, 2 stl, 4 blk, 3 3pt, 7/14 Fg in 34 minutes
Bender 11 pts, 7 reb, 1 ast, 2 3pt, 4/9 FG in 26 minutes
Ulis 14 pts, 2 reb, 2 ast, 1 3pt, 5/8 FG in 21 minutes

Patrick McCaw hit a floater at the buzzer to beat the Nuggets in overtime on Friday, finishing with 18 points, six rebounds, two assists, one steal and four 3-pointers in 27 minutes.

.......

The rich just keep getting richer. The rookie scored a whopping 10 points in overtime to help his team pull out the win. McCaw is already looking like the biggest steal of the second round of the NBA draft based on the preseason, Summer League and comments from his team. On the nights the Dubs rest guys, we'll probably be talking about this UNLV product. Oct 14 - 11:56 PM
