Also liked "The Truth" (Pierce), and a personal favourite: baseball player Doug Gwosdz was known as "Eyechart" due to the back of his jersey.

Ok I've never heard of doug whatever but that nickname is perfectly fitting

The entire evolution of Sauce Castillo can't be topped And Embiid calling himself the process might be the first time I ever endorsed any person giving himself a knickname.

The 2 worst. Stevie Franchise and Harold 'Baby Jordan' Minor.

Air Canada (when Vince was in Toronto)

Made so much sense because it's a play on "Air Jordan", fits Vince perfectly as he's an excellent dunker, and he played in Air Canada Center.

Aside from "Birdman" (Chris Anderson), the "Worm" (Dennis Rodman) and the "Animal" (Ken Bannister)...

A couple long ones "The Hick from French Lick" (Larry Bird) and "The Houdini of the Hardwood" (Bob Cousy)

The car/transportation reference nicknames..."Cadillac" (Greg Anderson), "Hod Rod" (Rod Williams) and the "A-Train" (Artis Gilmore) were always cool

Then there's the guys whose nicknames stuck so much that they basically dropped their actual real name: "Mookie" Blaylock, "Bimbo" Coles, "Sleepy" Floyd, "Butterbean" Love

Not a player but "Phi Slamma Jamma" was perfect for the Olajuwon and Clyde Drexler lead University of Houston teams.

Thought "The Big Fundamental" (Tim Duncan) was a very clever nickname

Ben Gordon actually had a nickname "Madison Square Gordon" cause he used to always light it up when he played at the Garden.

Larry Johnson's "Grandmama" was one of the best marketing gimmicks at the time.

Then there's the action/super hero nicknames, "Plastic Man" (Stacey Augmon), Xavier McDaniel as the "X-Man" and "The Rifleman" f(Chuck Person)

Knick fans used to call Al Harrington "Free Candy"...

Is it just me or are nick names kind of the past? The top stars nowadays don't really have a unique one other than short forms for names (e.g. Bron), or initials with their jersey numbers (e.g. CP3, KD)

The few I do like are:
Flash for Wade back in the day
Uncle Drew

One that I absolutely hate is "The Brow" I thin kits a stupid gimmick and he AD looks ridiculous with it LOL. Man looks like an angry bird.

Outside of hoops, Benjarvus Green-Ellis as "The Law Firm" has always struck me as pretty hilarious/on point. Big fan of that.

No, actually there are a few names that most people don't know the real players name, AND Basketball-Reference goes by their nickname too:

Tyrone "Muggsy" Bogues
Anthony "Spud" Webb

Those are just two, but I really think hard about it, I'm sure I can find a few more.
