Will the nightmare of injuries to Memphis' starters stop?

It's incredible how hard Memphis is hit with injuries.

That's really a shame.

Same injury Cam Newton suffered in his car accident last year. Conley will be fine, just needs time to rest. Hope he gets better soon. He's quietly having a good season: 19.2 ppg and 5.7 ast.

His entire career has been quiet.

Who does Memphis even have at PG after Conley?

It is unfortunate Memphis continues to suffer these injuries, they should be a nice playoff team (not saying they still won't be) but these types of things can derail you quickly.

That being said, it is surprising that a team that has suffered so many injuries in the past (Conley has missed 102 games over the past 3 years), does not have a more reliable backup PG option. At what point did they say "I feel comfortable with Wade Baldwin IV as our starting PG for a stretch of time if Conley goes down"?

He's been quietly injury prone too.

Hate to see this happen. How long does Memphis continue with this core? As they age injuries will become more common.

Not if they keep hoping the same injury prone players will stop being injury prone.

Memphis' main vulnerability this year was injury risk. They were very top heavy in construction having great starters and a horrible bench. It's going to be a rough ride for them now. Should drop them out of the playoff race. Maybe the Lakers do have a shot...

Tough for him an Memphis fans. As a fan who's team has been ravaged by injuries myself I feel your pain.
"Thibs called back and wanted more picks," said Jorge Sedano. "And Pat Riley, literally, I was told, called him a mother-bleeper and hung up the phone."

Terrible news but injuries and depth were the big questions for this team. Don't watch the Grizz that often but it seems like either Baldwin or Harrison will have to step up? Maybe one of them does and once Conley is back, they'll have a more confident backup. They'll probably lose some ground playoff seeding wise, but one of the top seeds is going to be really unhappy playing a (hopefully) healthy Memphis team in the 1st round

Not necessarily.

They could always trade for Monta Ellis. :D

Man that sucks, some brutal injuries this year that just sound excruciatingly painful: hamstring tearing off the bone and breaking your back, yikes

There goes another West playoff spot. Like 2-3 months bad?

currently were 8th .

Not that means much right now . but either the jazz or Thunder would be obvious picks take over their spot.
