Would the NBA be more interesting if we got rid of the NBA trade deadline? And conceivably, teams that are still playing in the playoffs can make major trades during the playoff season to boost their teams?
It certainly seems like it would be very entertaining. Imagine if it's the end of the season and Lebron James suffers a major injury and is out of the playoffs. The Celtics see their chance and make a move for one of the players (e.g. Butler) in exchange for their two Nets picks. All of a sudden, you have a completely different Celtics team in the playoffs with Butler. Or in a situation like 2015 Cavs, with Love out (and not playing well), they trade the injured Love for Carmelo Anthony, who partners up with buddy Lebron to face the Warriors in the finals.
Obviously, no one has to do anything drastic, but why limit ourselves? Why not open the possibility of exciting transactions during the most exciting times in the NBA?
Yay or Nay?

Would love to see the Spurs trade for someone in a 7 game series when their offense takes 1-2 seasons to learn...
Also, might be mistaken, but I thought you can't trade injured players?

I think you are right. You can ignore that hypothetical example.

Ehh...i don't think that'd make it very exciting, and would lead to a lot of teams losing face with agents and free agent players.
That said, i wouldn't mind if they just pushed the deadline to the last game of the season. Imagine being a middling 6th or 7th team, but your playoff matchup is lining up so you pull the trigger on a trade the day before the playoffs start and end up being the 2nd or 3rd talented team in your conference all of a sudden? You could see big-time deals go down and have teams that were first-round exits suddenly become contenders b/c they inserted exactly what they needed. On the flipside, you could also see teams that are hasty and pull trades that destroy their team and lead to top teams quickly faltering b/c they made poorly thought-out trades.
The smarter GMs would, of course, pull off deals earlier so their teams could get acclimated.

During the playoff not really, but I wouldn't mind if it was pushed well into March, or even until the regular season is done.

It would kind of be awesome also if you can trade players in a middle of the game. For example in the finals, Kevin Love is having a really bad game and during half time, he is replaced with Carmelo Anthony.
