Lets say they had a reverse draft before the playoff starts, and beginning with the playoff team with the worst record, each team could select any player in the NBA that isn't in the playoffs, and then of course the next team picks, but they obviously couldn't pick that same player, and as it goes on, and any previous players cannot be picked.
Gotta try and fit these guys into playoff rotations I'm guessing. A bit more complicated than it seems at first, since you are drafting for fit rather than BPA for the most part
Portland - Anthony Davis (BPA and need)
Chicago - DeMarcus Cousins (BPA and need)
Milwaukee - Kristaps Porzingis (gives stretch 4 who can run with Giannis)
Indiana - Devin Booker (need scorer to help Paul George)
Atlanta - KAT (kinda BPA, a Dwight/KAT rotation would be nice though)
Memphis - Robert Covington (3&D wing to try and slow down the Kawhis, KDs and LeBrons of the world)
Oklahoma City - Carmelo Anthony (proven scorer to take the load off Westbrook)
Washington - Joel Embiid (BPA and helps everywhere. Another 3pt threat as well)
LA Clippers - Andrew Wiggins (need offensive playmaker who can play either 2 or 3)
Utah - Hassan Whiteside (gobert considered out right? Rim protector and rebounder)
Toronto - Ricky Rubio (can give Lowry or DeRozan some rest. Kind of BPA since I'm not really sure what can be done to help the Raptors with their current squad)
Cleveland - Dirk Nowitzki (veteran who can hit 3s and just wants to win)
Boston - Andre Drummond (rebound. that's all)
Houston - Nerlens Noel (mobile defensive monster who can switch on 1-5 and dunk)
San Antonio - Nikola Jokic (seems like he could thrive on the Spurs. Smart player who will play to their system.)
Golden State - Brook Lopez (another offensive beast for Golden State, why not?)
Wasn't sure if we were considering currently injured players off teams. Kind of double dipped on that by assuming Gobert would be out and assuming Embiid was definitely good to play
Idk that's my list anyway.
