- Have been in the lottery 20 times and never moved up
- Have moved down in the draft due to the lottery 10 times often with devastating consequences
- Had to suffer through the David Kahn years with draft picks of Jonny Flynn, Wesley Johnson, and Derrick Williams
- Lost head coach/GM Flip Saunders just when the franchise looked to be turning around

Minnesota is who jumped to my mind first. Let me just detail what it was like to be Vancouver grizzly fan though...

Not allowed top pick for three years. Not allowed use of full cap for first two.
The whole Steve Francis thing.
Best season in the entire six years was 0.280.
Worst coach Stu Jackson goes on to be GM. Is also terrible at that.
Then they leave.

But Minnesota is worse in a way because it's more like a full on forrest fire. Vancouver was like a dumpster fire.

In the last 16-17 years since Ewing left the Knicks, the Raps have had Vince Carter and much more playoff success than NY; Kings had a near finals run with a great team, Chris Webber and Cousins as stars; Clippers have had much more playoff success, too, and star players such as CP3 and Blake; T-Wolves had KG and now KAT, among many top 5 picks and a great run with KG.

Knicks have had diddly squat. Nothing but fugazis. Overpaid names that never delivered. We finally have KP and Knicks fans want to trade him, fire Phil Jackson, and keep building around Melo LMAO.

I'll tell you who the most tortured fans are... rational Knicks fans who have to suffer because of these lunatics.

Honorable mention: OKC.
They finally had a team, with two super stars on the rise.
- too young to beat the (just matured) Heat
- title hope, injury
- title hope, injury
- injury no playoffs
- big title hope, choke
- departure

Raptors haven't been around long enough to be considered the most tortured.

It's gotta be the Kings. First off the playoff debacle against the Lakers, that's something I'd never live down. They would have won the championship if it wasn't for the refs. Second, they endured multiple terrible years, and yet they've consistently picked out of the top 3. There were teams that were terrible for one year and then picked higher than them. Next there was that whole disaster with the Maloofs, which led them to an even worse situation with Ranadive.

Mind numbing what they have to go through.

That is not a tortured fanbase. Basically a new fan base that inherited superstars that failed to win a championship sure, but still had tons of success. Even after your one superstar left, the other remained and you made the playoffs and he will likely be the league mvp. You guys are spoiled man lol.

Agreed. OKC was gifted a classic Sonics franchise. Then land Durant and Westbrook in the draft. Been to the finals. Perennial playoff contenders, and still a playoff team, even without Durant who was MVP with the Thunder. Now they have another MVP in Russ.

2 homegrown MVPs and a finals run?

Honorable mention for most tortured?

I can imagine- having a marquee player leave the team in his prime during FA must sting like hell (I wouldn't really know since the Knicks never have marquee guys to lose). But still, you have to consider all the facts. Torture is serious business.

Pfft, boohoo. That team is the Sonics, ans they have had some nice success ever since they arrived. In fact, that team has been spoiled. Arriving with immediate success with an all time talent to enjoy.

This kind of "Torture" is like only being able to afford a Porche, and not a Bugatti.

- history of terrible draft picks including Pervis Ellison with 89 #1 pick and Kenny Smith #6 in 87 over Reggie Miller, Kevin Johnson and Horace Grant
- long list of incompetent coaches
- the Robert Horry shot
- Webber's career and franchise altering knee injury during 03 playoffs
- Replaced Rick Adelman with Eric Musselman
- traded Isaiah Thomas for trade exception and crap prospect
- George Karl
- Nearly 7 seasons of Demarcus Cousins as franchise cornerstone

I'm sure someone's pure longevity of pain has us beat...but I'd like to know.

Hmmm... overall IDK. But the basketball gods really hate the Blazers. Yea, I think Blazers got it worse. Blazers have been more competitive historically I believe, but there is no team with the level of blue balls that Blazers fans get from being on the edge of being great all the time. Only to have pure luck dictate the entire franchises trajectory over and over again.

Nets are in bad situation created by previous gm , but their front office lead by Sean Marks and rookie coach Kenny Atkinson showed plenty of positive, they are heading the right direction in rebuilding their team.

I would had to go with Knicks, there's problem from top to bottom, owner Dolan, president Phil Jackson and player Carmelo Anthony.
Their only hope is Porzingis, and he's already starting to piss at the organization while still under rookie contract

Make a Poll. My vote is Clippers or Knicks.
Sometimes I'll start a sentence and I don't even know where it's going. I just hope I find it along the way.
