What team in the last 20 years would most likely beat this years warriors

Post#1 » by nbafan38 » Sun May 28, 2017 5:59 pm

I excluded Jordans Bulls and Shaqs Lakers because clearly these two would have the best chance and some might say trhey would even be favored over Golden State but considering the rest of the champions over the past 20 years which team would most likely take out GS, I also included this years Cavaliers since some consider them a superteam.

Rose, traded to the Knicks on June 22nd from his hometown Chicago Bulls, said his new squad has been referred to as a “super team” when asked what type of expectations he had for them.

“They’re high,” Rose said to NBA.com. “I mean, with these teams right now, they’re saying us and Golden State are the super teams, and they’re trying not to build that many super teams, and Adam Silver came out with the statement and this and that.”

Why not the 2004 Pistons? That's a great defensive team and I think they matchup nicely: Billups vs Curry, Rip vs Klay, KD vs Tay, Sheed vs Green, Ben vs Zaza. Except for KD vs Tay, all the other matchups could go either way.

2013 Heat probably, I could see Lebron being unstoppable, and the chaos that team created on defense could potentially frustrate the W's, but I still don't think any of those teams would win a series, but 2013 Heat stand the best chance.

well the 2008 celtics would give them a hard time.

2013 Miami with their blitzing defence will be tough and lbj was a beast.

2011 miami didnt win a ring but they were unbelievable right up to the finals.

2002 Kings.

Not saying 2013 Heat are the best of this bunch, but they definitely match up well with the Warriors. With a healthy Wade I think its a 50/50 series, with him how he actually was, probably go with the W's.

Wade/Curry
Allen/Thompson
Battier/Iguodala
James/Durant
Bosh/Green

I mean, those are some fun matchups.

That Knicks team is easily the most disappointing Super Team of All Time.

I'd pick the 2001 Lakers team that won the championship over the Sixers. Shaq and Kobe were both at their peaks on that team.

The other key question is which rules we're playing under. Under present rules I don't think anyone can touch them.

I ain't no Cavs fan. There's only two teams left. I'm rooting for the upset.

PG: Curry
SG: Thompson
SF: Durant
PF: BBQ Chicken
C: BBQ Chicken
