Not very good. I think at best they finish 10th in the West with 35 wins.

very very low - 5% at best.

i think 32-36 wins is realistic though if we remain healthy. Lonzo looks like he will elevate his teammates. KCP will do us some good and will benefit from playing with a pass-first P.G. Ingram is going to make a leap one would think (not 20PPG but a 15PPG efficient season isn't a stretch). The guys who will need to really step up if we are to have a hope of even getting into the high 30's, let alone playoff contention (i could a situation where a 45 win team misses out) is for Clarkson and Randle to step up big time.

Going to Vegas next week. I'll make a $100 bet for the hell of it. I don't think they're a playoff team.

I would say less than 10%

A team making it to the playoffs with brook lopez as the projected leading scorer and two projected starters under the age of 21 sounds like a fantasy.

The lakers do not even have a player as good as anyone on the top two of the following teams projected to fight for the last few spots: denver, NOH, MEM and POR

I am not bashing the lakers, it is just what I see. They will be watchable at least.

Maybe in a few years LA will be in the conversation of a playoff spot, but they had the worst defense in the entirety of the NBA last year, and that defense could very easily get worse this year. Good luck getting a playoff spot in the competitive west with the worst defense in the entirety of the NBA.

To make the playoffs their offense would have to be elite, when it is paired with horrific defense.

Ball seems like a pretty good defender thus far. Think he had a few steals last game, and seems to get a block every now and then. Pope I here is a good defender as well. Lopez is an inside presence, he gets blocks. I don't think it's as bad as you think.

Lakers had Nick Young and Lou Williams as the answer for winning games last season. Lopez, Ball, a better version of Ingram...Randle/Clarkson possibly improving...Pope a good wing defender...I'd say getting to 41 wins isn't a stretch for the 8th seed.

Chance of Laker making playoffs? in the words of Chick Hearn "Slim and none and Slim just left town"

0%. The west is too good and they're not that good. Especially with Rondo seemingly headed to NO

ZERO unless several players from several teams retire, get busted for coke, join monasteries, etc.

Hahaha at arguably. It is a guarantee those 3 teams are better. I dont think clippers or jazz fall off at all. At most maybe a couple games.

Lakers are gonna be bottom 2-3 in the west.

IMO they are the 12th most likely team to make the playoffs in the West.

Less than 1%. Lakers will go through some growing pains and 8th seed might need 45+ wins.

Ball could be as good as Rookie LeBron James and they'd still have a ~5% chance at making it.

They aren't even better than last year's team at the moment.

Lou, Russell and Young are missed (they all were very similar) but Ball, Lopez, Pope... and a year of experience for Ingram, Randle, Zubac, Clarkson and Nance Jr.

I think we win 7 more games than last season.

Still not in the play-offs IN THE WEST.

Lakers still wouldnt make the playoffs in the east either

If they were in the East 40%, West 5%.

If they do make it Lonzo Ball is Jesus.
