Do you think your team's "all time team" can beat the current Warriors in a 7 game series?

Except are we talking peak at them as a player? Or while they were on the team. Mcgrady wasn't fully McGrady when he was on the Raptors.

According to the OP the players can only be as good as when they were with the club. So we get 15 ppg and elite defence TMac.

I still don't see us winning. Derozan is the weak point, I'd almost rather have Christie there.

Lowry
Christie
Carter
McGrady
Bosh

Would match up better. Derozan without the usage would be tough to justify.

Id actually pull out derozen and go big with ibaka. Lowry, vince, tmac, ibaka, bosh and run the offense through tmac and vc with lowry off ball

pg- John Stockton, Ricky Green
SG- Pete Maravich, Jeff Hornacek
SF- Adrian Dantley, AK-47
PF- Karl Malone, Spencer Haywood
C- Rudy Gobert, Mark Eaton

Honorable Mention- Thurl Bailey, Daryl Griffith, Gordan Haywood, Rich Kelly, Deron Williams, Memut Oker, Carlos Boozer, Gail Goodrich, Truck Robinson.

I wanted to have a couple from each decade on this team. I don't know all of the ones from New Orleans. I'm sure I missed a few.

Lol the question is if Warriors would manage to avoid losing in 4 , 4 straight 30 pts plus blowout

Magic/West
Kobe/B Scott
Baylor/Worhty
Pau Gasol/ Bob Mcadoo
KAreem/Shaq

Good luck.

Raptors version of McGrady wasn't producing at a high enough level yet, so I'd take Bosh, especially with Tmac having to be a 4.

I'd take the Warriors against those teams though

Its close but I still give Shaq the edge. He was still an MVP candidate his first year in Miami.

As a team the current Warriors under current rules are putting up some 3 of top 10 seasons in wins all time.

How would older guys do with complex zone defenses and deal with the 3 pt shot.

By the logic in OP restricting players to how they were in a given year, does this mean we could get multiple versions of the same player? In other words, does Miami get multiple versions of Dwyane Wade, Chris Bosh, Lebron, Alonzo Mourning, and Shaq?

But yes, I think this team could win

1997 Hardaway
2009 Wade
2013 Lebron
2013 Bosh
2005 Shaq

A team like the All time Philadelphia 76ers probably would lose due to Barkley and Iverson struggling to mesh, and Dr J would just be over there face palming if things start to go bad for them. Mosses Malone can get in their faces and try to make a difference but that can only go so far.

Would Iguodala come off the bench for both teams? I'll take Philly Andre in that matchup.

basically an entire team comprised of All-Star players... They would destroy Golden State, and I'd imagine this would be the case in just about any other team's all-time roster. GS is probably the single best team ever compiled, but they would get destroyed by the depth...
The bench is an all-star team... They would demolish.

Stockton / D-Will (prime D-Will)
Dantley / Hornacek
Hayward / AK47
Malone / Millsap
Gobert / Eaton

All I know is Detroit's all time team would be murder.

I think the current GSW starting 5 is as good or even better most "all-time" rosters, but the depth of the "all-time" rosters is where the giant difference would be. GSW would get demolished as soon as the subs came in. Could the starting 5 all play 40+ minutes for an entire series without wearing down...?

weird choices...

I can't consider Pete Maravich a real choice... he hardly played for the Jazz. Dantley played a lot of SG in his career... I put him there, and give Hayward the slot for SF. PF... Millsap. Prime D-Will was easily the best PG outside of Stockton who ever played for the Jazz.

Lillard / Porter
Drexler / Petrie
Vandeweghe / Kersey
Wallace / Adridge / Williams
Walton / Sabonis

I think we take 1 maybe 2 at home but that is about as far as we get I think. I also feel like I am forgetting someone not sure who.

All-time Bobcats team >>> Current Warriors

5 guys playing on the park >>> current Warriors if it's played hypothetically.

Only the newest franchises might struggle (Hornets, Pels).

Disagree.

You see the line-up up for the pre-2010 Warriors?

That is pretty bad. No way they beat current GSW. Also, several other franchises haven't had much star/super-star talent in their history. I think a number of franchises would struggle.

My Jazz lineup would be:

Stockton/Williams
Hayward/Hornacek
AK47/Dantley
Malone/Millsap
Gobert/Okur

Eaton was a bit better than Okur, but I like the Okur fit a lot more in the modern game. AK47 over Dantley for the starting lineup due to fit. Maravich left out due to fit though, never got over his ballhog tendencies and we don't need that with Stockton/Williams running the point.
