Thanks, Milwaukee!
You can thank Milwaukee only for Pat Garrity. If the Bucks hadn't agreed to draft Nowitzki at 9 and Garrity at 19, the Mavs would have taken Nowitzki with their 6th pick.
The Mavs had no interest in Traylor. The Bucks had no chance of getting Nowitzki.

Alot of Warriors fans are pissed at Adonal Foyle over kobe or tmac..i forget if adonal was 96 or 97 and dunleavy picked #3 over amare. BUT no one had any idea that those high school kids were going to blow up so i really dont mind.
The Bulls trading Elton Brand for #2 pick Tyson Chandler was a mystery to me at the time.

I agree, how could be anything other than passing over the GOAT?
Yes, in hindsight, it looks absolutely HORRIBLe, no one is going to argue that. However, at the time, Portland didn't have a NEED for a SG, but they needed a C. Most GM's would have made the same pick, even if they won't admit it now. Most people forget that Akeem was taken over MJ as well, but Houston gets somewhat of a pass, since they won two titles.

Olowokandi @ #1 pick
Joe Smith @ #1 pick
Kwame @ #1 pick
Bargnani @ #1 pick
Joe Smith was a disappointment, especially with some of the players taken right after him, but he wasn't a "bust." He was a very productive player for the Warriors originally, then just fell into a "second-fiddle" role when playing alongside Garnett in Minny.
Still a MUCH better pick than Kwame/Olowokandi.

lol @ some of you guys saying bargnani. sure, hes not having a great season (at all), but he hasn't even played 2 seasons in the NBA. its waay too early to call him a blunder.
its not like hes average 2 points a game. hes starting on a .500 + team. Out of his 44 games plays i would say 20-25 of those have been very good games for him and he does have potential.
im not saying bargs isnt a bust. im also not saying that he was a great pick. but i think we have to wait AT LEAST one more season to call him a "blunder".
