Rafael Araujo to the Raptors at #8. IMO the worst lottery pick in the last 10 years....

And Atlanta picking Marvin Williams over Williams and Paul was awful (I knew Marvin was all media-based hype from day 1)....

The Bucks picked Dan Gadzuric over Carlos Boozer. One pick before too. We also selected David Noel, which in itself is pathetic then you add that we could have had Leon Powe or Daniel Gibson and well I want to kill Larry Harris.

Every team in the league passed on Boozer so that isn't as big of a deal.

Picking Dan Gadzuric in front of him is. Dan Gadzuric is not a basketball player.

The most infamous draft day blunder in American pro sports history. There is no contest.

I agree, how could be anything other than passing over the GOAT?

Thanks, Milwaukee! :D

You can thank Milwaukee only for Pat Garrity. If the Bucks hadn't agreed to draft Nowitzki at 9 and Garrity at 19, the Mavs would have taken Nowitzki with their 6th pick.

The Mavs had no interest in Traylor. The Bucks had no chance of getting Nowitzki.

Alot of Warriors fans are pissed at Adonal Foyle over kobe or tmac..i forget if adonal was 96 or 97 and dunleavy picked #3 over amare. BUT no one had any idea that those high school kids were going to blow up so i really dont mind.

The Bulls trading Elton Brand for #2 pick Tyson Chandler was a mystery to me at the time.

Its close, and you realize, even though he's a Laker now, you don't have to defend EVERY thing said about him right?

Also, Bargs over Roy, Gay, Aldridge, Martin

Yes, in hindsight, it looks absolutely HORRIBLe, no one is going to argue that. However, at the time, Portland didn't have a NEED for a SG, but they needed a C. Most GM's would have made the same pick, even if they won't admit it now. Most people forget that Akeem was taken over MJ as well, but Houston gets somewhat of a pass, since they won two titles.

Nets having decided to pick Kobe at 8, and then they scared out when Pelinka said Kobe would play overseas and took Kittles instead there.

Obviously not the biggest blunder of all time (that would be Sam Bowie), but it deserves a honorable mention.

Celtics swap Cliff Hagan and Ed Macauley for Bill Russell. If the Hawks keep Russ, Russ/Pettit would have been the GOAT twin towers.

Celtics swap Joe Barry Carroll for Robert Parish and Kevin McHale. Imagine GSW with Parish/McHale.

Joe Smith was a disappointment, especially with some of the players taken right after him, but he wasn't a "bust." He was a very productive player for the Warriors originally, then just fell into a "second-fiddle" role when playing alongside Garnett in Minny.

Still a MUCH better pick than Kwame/Olowokandi.

lol @ some of you guys saying bargnani. sure, hes not having a great season (at all), but he hasn't even played 2 seasons in the NBA. its waay too early to call him a blunder.

its not like hes average 2 points a game. hes starting on a .500 + team. Out of his 44 games plays i would say 20-25 of those have been very good games for him and he does have potential.

im not saying bargs isnt a bust. im also not saying that he was a great pick. but i think we have to wait AT LEAST one more season to call him a "blunder".

Yeah that pick really annoyed me. Kittles is actually my favorite Nets player of all time but... Kobe...
