I see Orlando in the East. The Celtics have vintage talent but who declines? Is KG full strength? Sheed?
Will Ray Allen lose another step? D West going nutcase isn't good and the Cavs need to fit Shaq into the mix. Not much bench there. The Wiz can be big if guys are healthy, and the Sixers might put it together. Don't be surprised if the Bobs finally make 8 seed. Miami can make the playoffs...but don't over-rate them yet. Toronto and the Bulls seem able to make the playoffs but are no sure thing. I'm seeing the Pistons dropping, the Knicks will come close to the playoffs. The Bucks........not good...not good at all. Nets will settle for making some progress.

In the West...Lakers have the edge but the Spurs adjusted...were 3 players and a lot of role types. Ginobli is a big injury risk. Dallas may make a big push while their window of opportunity is open. I think the Blazers are rising but Oden has to stay healthy and improve or 4 seed is it for now. Denver is hard to figure....Billups is a key. They can rank high if some team stumbles. Suns are declining and the Rockets are just in trouble. Utah + N Orleans are business as usual. NO got the best of the Okafor deal but their depth is getting older-not better. I see OKC and GSW as having good shots to make the playoffs. On paper,at least, the Clips have the talent, but they had talent last year and sucked. Jefferson's injury keeps the Wolves from moving up.
CENSORED... No comment.

Bulls roster looks weak compared to the big guns.

San Antonio top seed? I can't see the Spurs winning more then 57 (at best) games. This is easily LA. They'll be up towards the mid to high 60's in wins this year. The easiest top seed prediction anyone can make.

I find it kind of absurd that we're being downlooked on this.

Does anyone REALLY believe we'll be worse 10 wins without a PG that we should've traded 2 years ago?

At worst, we're 41-41 again but this lineup(Lou-Iggy-Thad-Brand-Daly) has the potential to be really good.
Plus the young kids are showing they can be a legit part of this rotation.

We're anywhere from 41-45 wins.

can't believe how many seem to consider the Heat a top ten team...lol....

also, IMO, the Bulls are being seriously overrated.

Miami when JO and Wade is healthy, plus the young guns Beasley, Chalmers and Cook consistent and the other veterans doing their jobs (Q-Rich, Arroyo, James Jones, Haslem, Magloire) is DEFINITELY a playoff team. Heck a HCA team too if they're that lucky. Boozer and Odom really could'v'e helped.

I wouldn't consider the Bulls as overrated. They're a pretty tough team to predict. If Noah and Tyrus have breakout seasons, John Salmons fills in nicely for Ben Gordon, and Rose improves a lot this year then the Bulls could be as high as the 5th seed in the East. But then again, they could easily finish out of the playoffs. They do look pretty good in preseason though (yeah it's preseason) without Derrick Rose for 5 games and Tyrus for 4 games.

EAST
1-Orlando
2-Boston
3-Cleveland
4-Chicago
5-Atlanta
6-Philly
7-Miami
8-Toronto

West
1-LA
2-San Antonio
3-Denver
4-Portland
5-Dallas
6-Utah
7-Houston
8-New Orleans

Magic and Lakers Final
Champ: My heart says Magic but my mind says Lakers

Reasoning:
Magic are just way too deep, talented, well coached, and improved since last year. They also have experience under their belt.

Howard, Carter, Lewis, Nelson, Bass, Pietrus, Williams, Redick, Gortat, Barnes, Anderson, Johnson...Van Gundy...they have every element for a championship team...their second unit is a playoff team in the east...

I don't see Shaq working out in Cleveland

I don't see Sheed working all that well in Boston, and they are two years older, and this is an old team, the big three is now getting old...

Spurs are awesome, but Lakers are just too good, even with their upgrades...

West
1-LA
2-POR
3-SA
4-DEN
5-NO
6-DAL
7-LAC
8-UTAH

East
1-CLE
2-ORL
3-BOS
4-ATL
5-MIA
6-CHI
7-PHI
8-WAS

I hate to have to say this, but I think LA repeats this year, and any of those top 4 teams I could see making it to the finals in the East, so we'll just have to see what happens.
