Did you really just say that? Since they got LB they have always been TOO hyped. Even after they lost to the Magic most national outlets are expecting them to do better then the Magic next year. No way can you say they fly under the radar.

Celtics get 1 seed with ease.

Youve mentioned Toronto twice in this thread.

No Raptor fan has mentioned Miami.

And we have a hatred for Miami?? right.

Anyway, I picked BOS (if they stay healthy). It was a tough one between BOS/ORL but I just cant deny the impact KG will have on this team when healthy.

I changed my vote yet again from Toronto to Orlando.
Looks like they could use an extra vote

NBA Analyst + meant that Cleveland was the only team healthy in the playoffs. Which is true of the big three East teams. You can't argue that. You can argue they were down players in the regular season, but you still managed HCA. In the playoffs, you lost to Orlando while fully healthy and with HCA. That was his point.

how is that relevant at all to the topic of the thread? who wins the #1 seed in the east.

No way is Shaq a top 10 player in the league now a days. Besides you can't bank on the guy, are you planning on sitting him out the 2nd game of back to backs?

I based that on his likely being the 2nd team all NBA center with Yao out and just roughly using next year's first and second team all NBA team's as the top 10 players. Certainly you could rank players other ways, but that seems close enough.

And, again, Shaq missed all of 7 games last year and even if he misses some games here and there, we still have Z.

without the injuries, they had a real shot at 70 wins. They replaced Ben Wallace with Shaq. That's a bigger upgrade than Artest for Ariza, Rashhed for Powe or Carter for Turkoglu.

OK. I'm taking your word for it and expect 70 or more wins from the Cavs next year.

I said had a shot at it - they won 66 games while giving away the last game of the season and while 3 different starters each missed 17+ games.

Only time will tell. Cavs made the most valuable moves in the off season but it was geared towards a championship, not getting the #1 seed.

This is a great idea JordansBulls and I hope it gets stickied.

Shocker alert: I picked the Magic. First summer for Dwight to work on his game as it fits in the Magic scheme in a while. This should pay off in terms of less turnovers and more assists.

I also think that with the offseason the Magic have had they've done the most to improve their team, a team that with Nelson healthy was on pace for the best record in the NBA.

So yeah, I'm a fan, they've done a lot to improve, and the argument for them being #1 is there to make so I'm making it.

As far as regular seasons go, I think Cleveland will finish #1. They have a tendency to demolish lesser opponents, but again they will fail to be able to beat the better teams and that will get them no where in the playoffs.

Boston #2.

Orlando #3 because there will likely be a time period for gelling. Start the season without Lewis. So they have to develop chemistry with all the additions, and then have to get used to playing with Lewis when he comes back.

I think Boston will get the number 1 seed. They had a top 3 seed last year minus KG. If they are healthy I can see them winning 68 games.
