I believe the Bulls board has more posts than the Knicks board right now and Orlando is huge too. I'll give the Magic fans credit. They got Vince Carter and didn't rub it in anyone's faces. You also don't see Bulls fans talking smack on a regular basis and if you did, other Bulls fans would be the first ones to disagree.

Board size is not a great excuse for flaming homerism.

Magic fans are right up there with the Raptor and Knicks fans on this board. I will give credit to the Bulls fanbase though.

To be fair, the C-Unit era bulls board was far and away the worst on realgm. The quality of bulls posters has increased out of sight since then.

Good point. The C unit was just horrible and the hype was ridiculous.

Raptor fans get the most hate when it should be the team. We werent the only people who thought we might of had a decent team. In fact alot of people thought we did. But most raptor fans knew that our glaring weaknesses would still exist which is defense. We didnt think we would regress this much though.

No need for posters to point out that we have a weakasss defensive team. We already know that most of our starting lineup needs a big time shakeup

They still need a good increase of toughness up front and a more well rounded wing-man group offensive creativity and defense-wise. Colangelo (and that guy from the Euroleague assisting, MT) to me also has typically been biased towards the european style of perimeter offense/jumpshooting, as a whole for his teams, where defense, rebounding and interior offense are not priorities. Basically taking what they can get in those aformentioned areas from the more perimeter-oriented, offensive-minded players that make-up his teams.

They really need to complement Bosh with a good defensive big man, like in the form of a Horace Grant/PJ Brown/latter year Zo/Okafor/Chandler/Dampier/Dalembert/Haywood/Magloire-Hornets. Somebody who isn't just an adequate post-man defender, but also some kind of a solid force protecting the paint. Or less realistically a star-level two-way center.

I'll give raptor fans credit that they usually don't put down other teams when they hype themselves up. There are some people who feel the need to put down every other team in order to pump up their own. For the most part, the Raptor fanbase is an amiable group.

The Raptors won the title in the preseason playoff thread. You guys had a bit higher expectations than those saying you might be a 6 seed.

Ya Colangelo was the guy saying 'we will get tougher' made one trade for a defensive minded reserve then loaded up on guys with defensive weaknesses.

Sometimes I think he figures that if he has a guy on the bench with a strength it makes up for the weakness of the guy on the floor. He gets these specialists that just don't fit in the starting lineup.
anyone involved in that meddling to justice”. NO COLLUSION

They just are one of the worst defensive squads.
I watch some of the players interview of last night after getting slaughtered, it seems like there is a total disconnect between coach and some of his players.
Coach thinks they played hard, his own players don't agree.
That coach supposedly doesn't even go over tape of the mistakes they are making. Seriously I think Raps with a solid defensive coach, and some trades, would get in the playoff race. Not contender worthy by the biggest of stretch, but a lil bit better, not joke of the league material with the Knicks, Nets or Wolves , as they seem to be imploding into that status.

Well it is kinda hard to put other teams down when your team sucks, lol.

I was expecting ~41 wins, and anywhere from 5th-9th in the east. Looking wrong so far defintily. They'r terrible. Probably still time to turn it around and get that records since we've had a tough sched, but it would prob take some big trades.

Most fans were fairly reasonable going into this season, while some have been higher or lower end of the extreme. Both on the Raps and general board. Which is fair for any fan base. People like you chose to focus on the ones who may be wrong right now and laugh at it. It's petty and funny in its own way.

Instead of spreading BS, man up and admit you and the whole Raps fan base was wrong. Most of them were not reasonable going into the season. Most of them were delusional. Want proof?

Predict what place the Raptors will finish in the EC

That's a poll thread posted on the Raps forum. Most fans voted for 4th seed. Only 6% of the fan base thought the Raps would be out of the playoffs. There were countless poll threads like these on the Raps forum during the offseason, all of which had the same homerific results. Predicting 4th seed for the freaking Raptors is not being "fairly reasonable." Heck, as it turns out, predicting 10th seed for the Raptors was even overrating them lol.

Predicting fourth seed wasn't that homerific. Raptors looked decent on paper. It wasn't that far fetched. Most people didn't expect them to suck this badly.

The Raptors realgm forum has over 800 members. That poll tallied to 95, with 32 members voting for fourth.

Look at the posts in that thread, you're trying to hard if you think that is homerism. Today it looks wrong, but not 'homerific.'
"I definitely knew he traveled, but I didn't know they were going to call it. That was one of them situations in which a great player made a move...and they called the call. And I was like, 'Oh, man, there is a God.'

Yeah I'm sure the other 705 members would have predicted a below .500 record and a 11th seed (where they currently sit). Seriously, there were polls with more people voting. I can look those up if you want me to. The point is, the majority of Raptors fans had the Raps winning 45+ games and getting the 4th seed. That turned out to be horribly wrong meaning they were not fairly reasonable in their evaluation of their team.

Althought I knew the Raptors would have bad defense, I still thought they'd be much better. I was thinking 5 or 6 seed. I thought Calderon would come back healthy, and want to prove his worth. I thought Hedo was a good addition (although overpaid), and Derozan was a great pick in the draft

Calderon
Derozan
Hedo
Bosh
Bargs

Looks like the suns team of old that could just out score you every night. Unfortunately...not true for Raps fans.
