Does anyone else wonder who these journalists sources are? Or where they get their information from? Additionally, why does Yahoo Sports seem to always have the new rumors out first? Especially the Wojeknowskidrobnjaksmanjaks guy? Furthermore, we could use more David Aldridge as his sources and delivery are much better than anyone on ESPN.

Agents and GM's are the sources these guys usually talk to.

Lots of misinformation comes from player agents, and I suspect from players themselves.

Adrian Woj is probably the best basketball insider out there. Ric Bucher is probably the worst.

His finest moment was being Kobe's mouth piece for an entire off season.

"KObe will not play for the Lakers again. Guaranteed." I still remember that.

"executives", "rival GM", "agent" - aka RealGM trade checker and trade forum

Edit:
I made this rumor up for fun:
viewtopic.php?f=6&t=916765

The next day, Boston Globe was quoted as saying that an Eastern Executive told them that.
