Re: Team everybody wants to meet in the playoffs
OKC has an elite scorer and plays excellent defense, inexperienced or not, those aren't the things you want to face in the first round. I'd rather play a banged up Portland or a decaying Spurs team.

You guys are crazy if you think everybody wants to see the Spurs. I am a Lakers fan and I want to stay away from the Spurs at all cost in the first round. You just never know. If they click and Parker and Manu plays all out in 7 games, you just never know.

OKC or New Orleans would be just fine. We can match OKC on the perimeter and we can own them in the paint.

The East: Out of the top 4 (Boston - losing athleticism, weak from long distance)
Bottom 4 (Chicago or Miami) I would say Miami (there's no "D" in team)
The West: Top 4 (Utah - out of the 4 they're the least intimidating)
Bottom 4 ( New Orleans - Worst team they've had in a while)
*P.S. If my raptors catch boston in a series, 4-2 Toronto remember where u heard it 1st

I could never say that about KG. Even though he is a great player. In some way even in his prime he is Joakim Noah with a jump shot and a little better post game. Outside of that they have the exact same skill set.

The easiest road out West:
Thunder 1st round
Suns 2nd round (if they can pull an upset)
WCF No easy road this year
East:
Bulls 1st round (although they knocked off the Heat in 2007 and last year almost knocked out the Celts
2nd round if their is an upset Miami.
ECF No easy road this year

Lakers are 22-3 in OT last 6 seasons:Kobe best OT closer!

Re: Team everybody wants to meet in the playoffs
Asa Laker fan this would be the easiest, some-what realistic playoff-scenario.
First Round: Spurs (We have traditionally owned the Spurs in the playoffs and they look horrible this year).
Second Round: Thunder (No experience)
Western Conference Finals: Jazz (A big surprise but we've owned them the past couple years)
NBA Finals: Hawks (No experience or dominant star player)

FYI their defense has been top 10 during the last 27. They have had the lowest 3 point field goal % in the league against during their last 27. A top 10 defensive team and a top 3 offensive team doesnt scare you? I agree that they tend to struggle at times when facing stifling defense, but they can play.
I would want to meet a team like Houston. I know they took the Lakers to 7 games, but I look at their roster and wonder how they play so damn well

Remind us quick, when was the last time the Lakers beat the Suns in the playoffs.

You think these Suns can still beat the Lakers?

Kobe & scrubs almost beat the Suns, now replace Walton with Artest, Kwame with Gasol, young Bynum for a much better Bynum, and Odom. The Suns would be lucky to win a game against the Lakers in the playoffs

When the Suns are on they are on. Don't be surprised if Kobe doesn't want to play the Suns in the first round and worries about constantly.

I actually thought OKC is one the the darkhorse teams in the West, was watching the Knicks vs. Thunder (TMac debut) and Durant was just making the game look easy, cool and calm during every shot in a clutch situation.
I think his maturity and leadership could translate into the playoffs, making up a bit for the lack of experience, but that's just me.
that's what people said about portland last year.
yeah but Durant > Roy

This is made me decide that I want the Lakers to play the Suns in the first round.
For the East It would be Chicago. The team has made too many changes. They no longer seem to be the playoff team they were in 08 - 09.

In the east:
Raptors - Great shooting team, but not the greatest defense (although that is skewed by the start of the season).
Chicago - Good D, but easy to stop on the other end. No shooting threats. No need to double anyone all game, then throw a trap on Rose in Q4 and watch them struggle.
West:
Spurs - Old, tired, beatable.
