It seems like the MVP (while playing) was indeed better than Tyrese maxey. Maxey great when up by 47 points in the fourth quarter when mac mcclung starts warming up though

Thoughts?

Or is Embiid the Goat b/c he was +14 this game and Sixers continue to play a wing as his backup w/ no proper big off the bench?

GSP wrote:What would happen if Maxey and Murray switched places? Same results for Nuggets and Sixers?

What if we switched Maxey with 2023 “better than Jokic” Murray? You know, since suddenly we are pretending player hierarchy is determined by the most recent hot streak.

Really makes you wonder if people on this board understand what they're seeing. As good as Maxey was the sixers don't win that game without Embiid's defense. Also, I guess we can just ignore Embiid's great game 3 and Maxey's subpar game's 3 & 4. The reactionary takes are ridiculous.

Just like the start of the 21 playoffs before Harden pulled his Hamstring. I don't remember the details but he was first in everything. Had a 76 ts% vs the celtics in round 1

Gutsy win from the Sixers. Unreal performance from Maxey. Wonder if their fans will show up for game 6.

Perhaps Iverson's most impressive attribute was his ridiculous stamina. And yeah, just attacking with change of direction and then bursting past. Brunson has a very good grasp on change of direction/pace and how to move his defender around, shift his weight, etc.

What are the odds that the 76ers will come back from a 1-3 deficit to win the series?

If you give them a 50% chance at both the next 2 games it's 25%.

Even with a couple of non-competitive series these playoffs have been fabulous. I get the media is bummed no Steph, no Lebron, no Phoenix stars, but we are getting some new guys shining and just great, compelling basketball.

I don't even think the play-offs have been all that uncompetitive. Half the series are confirmed to at least go to a game 6.

Last season there was only 1 sweep but also an additional 4 series not making it past game 5. In 2022 half the series went to 6 just like this year but none made it to a game 7. 2021 was the same as 2023 with 5 series being done in 5, including 1 sweep. The bubble also had 5 series being done in 5, including a grand total of 3 sweeps.

It's always been the trend that outside of a few fun match ups in the first round, the play-offs really start heating up in the next round and we've got plenty to look forward to this time around as well.

I marveled at his BBIQ and skills so many times during watching the series, I think we shouldn't take it for granted. Sooner or later we will lose him in the league, appreciate how he just performed at the age when most players are either retired or washed up.

Do you rate him over Kareem at this point?

I did last year, now the gap became bigger. In terms of CORP analysis, James is the clear GOAT in my opinion.

With different criteria, I can see Russell ahead of him.

I dont know if I should be pumped or worried that Derrick White has been our best playoff performer. Jayson has a lousy series offensively and Heat w/o Jimmy will be the worst defense by far that we see these playoffs unless Pacers somehow make Ecf

Not gonna lie, I love Luka but the nostalgia merchant in me is kind of rooting for the Clips just so that we don't say goodbye to all the 2010s stars in round 1.

Edit: I suppose Kyrie counts as a 2010s star so at least he'd still be around in round 2.
