Personally I think it could still go either way but it would take a title to get the sort of narrative rewriting you are alluding to. I do think he does sort of shrink though. He doesn't seem to yet understand that stars gotta sort of take over in big games. LeBron did sort of go through a similar thing imo but I think he understood it way sooner than Embiid might.

Maybe. I think I need to see more of him healthy in the playoffs to make that determination. And if he doesn't stay healthy, well, that's something of an answer in and of itself as well.

There is nothing wrong with the big goof. Its that time of the year when fake injuries are happening to him, so he can be excused for the lack of the production in the post season. He's been exposed as the fraud, pick and choosing games against the opponents on the road, ducking Denver again etc. Come play off time he will disappear again and then media will blame Nurse,Maxi and Embiid will get jail free card again, just wait and see, the same story every season. Embiid will never be the champion unless he plays on the team full of stars and they drag him to the title.

You think Joel Embiid lies about his injuries, that nobody on the medical staff checks to confirm this and that Embiid successfully gets away with fake injuries like a torn meniscus so he can just go on vacation during the year?

Sports fans are insane.

They are already lying about the degree of the injury , they tell one guy its a torn meniscus and then they tell other guy its the injury with not much of the details. Let them put his MRI and whatever other tests he took out to the public. You can fake everything today and this just happened after NBA have fined Sixers organization for that fiasco in Denver , its to put it mildly a bit suspicious. I don't think he has torn his meniscus , maybe its a some small freak injury when Kuminga landed on his knee. But they want to make more drama so that Embiid will have another excuse come to play off's.

Trash on ESPN on the court side and in studio ridiculously protecting play off choker. Literally they called his play like he never missed the time off, scoring 30ppg in 8 game in his return. Now he's tired, can't deal with the intensity and other bs. He's the most protected player on the floor and the media even though he's the fraud.
