Last I remember Kobe came back from knee surgery after his prolific 05-06 season and put up incredible stats.

The knock on wade is that he does not take care of his body, hence the work habits the entire team usa picked up from Kobe. I recall Wade being called out for not coming into training camp/start of the season into shape last season..

If your going to give Wade the excuse, then how is it that Kobe can play with a injured knee, ankle, arthritis on the middle knuckle, and broken finger and still play at a high level...

There are no excuses here...

The first 2 years after the hand check rule change.

04-05: 30.7 ppg, 7.9 apg, 2.4 spg
05-06: 33 ppg, 7.4 apg, 1.9 spg

I can't imagine if he actually played his whole career with these rules like Wade has (NOT saying I think he'd be better than Wade). AI's got Wade on scoring volume, playing the passing lanes, speed/quickness, and ball handling... but it's not like his advantage is very big in those areas. Wade's the much better overall defender (not even close) and the more efficient offensive player.

I see Wade as a bigger, more team oriented Iverson.

Iverson was unstopable and didn´t attempted 40 FT per game.

Wade had 2 seperate surgeries and wasnt the same player for 1-2 years.

You cant compare that to some overhyped hand and finger injury .. that comes up pretty much every single year when Kobe goes on a shooting slump  and then the concerns go away once he plays better ..

Here's everyone on that Heat squad that played 1000 or more minutes on the season.

15-Win Heat (by Minutes)
2963: Ricky Davis
1954: Dwyane Wade
1886 Jason Williams
1806: Udonis Haslem
1542: Mark Blount
1441: Daequan Cook
1340: Chris Quinn
1104: Dorrell Wright

Only one player on that squad played 70+ games, four played 60+, six played 50+, eight played 40+.

Wade is the best shot-blocking SG the league has ever seen and Iverson is, well...not.

Iverson got more steals though, but all-around defensively Wade wins by a fair margin.

It's Wade.

Umm no, Michael Jordan says hi

Michael Jordan career block average: .8
Dwyane Wade career block average: 1.0

Dwyane Wade says hi back.

To be fair Michael's got past prime years (especially the 2 Wizards seasons) dragging his average down.

I think they're about equal in this category, Mike probably got more directly on his man, while Wade is probably a little better helping down low on bigs.

Fair enough. Doesn't change the fact that Iverson is not even close, which was the original point.
