I think Humphries right now is clearly the more talented player, but a lot of times he thinks he's MJ and tries to do too much. Amir is the exact opposite. He plays within his role. I'll probably take Amir for that reason.

Humphries is not more talented than Amir. Amir is bigger, longer, and has much better hands

Johnson would probably start on that NJNs team yet Humphries can't. Amir is the better player on defense and on offense, he takes this easily.

hump is good. he has a decent jumper. and can get rip down boards. Amir is just a freak athlete, and will block shots, and grab boards.

Amir by a long shot

Amir at least was #1 in TS% of all PFs last year and a good rebounder. Plus he's athletic and 23 years old, I can at least kinda see some basis for excitement about his future. Humphries came into the NBA w/ a perfect PF frame and a bit of a J, but never really improved his game. He's a 10th man

Kris is a decent close range shooter and has some IQ, Amir doesn't. Amir is a way better finisher down-low and is a good hustler. I'd go with Amir, but Kris could surpass him.

Kris has IQ? He thinks he's MJ at times.

Most of this is simply not true.

Amir is a MUCH smarter player

Eh in terms of rebounding they're exactly the same neither player is better than the other, Humphries is more versatile but less efficient and he also has a higher usage rate for that reason I actually think Amir Johnson is slightly better it's just his inability to stay on the court with Sean Williams type fouls that brings him down.

They're both role players but I guess my big thing is I think Humphries missed out on a major pay-day by opting in with the Nets this offseason

I didn't see Humphries this year but unless he has dramatically improved since his Raptor days it's Johnson by a mile. Much better defender, much more athletic and much more efficient on offense.

How so? Amir is way more intelligent than Humphries. His efficiency alone proves that.

Humphries is a bit like Joey Graham in my regard. Freak athlete with not much basketball IQ to speak of.
