Kobe/LBJ/Wade

Post#1 » by HEATKingEz » Sun Aug 15, 2010 5:09 pm

I'm sure there's a bunch of threads comparing the three, but I don't think it's ever been so detailed like this before. See who's actually the best at what, and then add it up to see who's the best player. ONLY use Kobe Bryant, LeBron James & Dwyane Wade. Seeing that it's clear that they are the 3 best players in the league.

Put the names in order for each category.

ex: Inside Scoring: Dwyane Wade, LeBron James, Kobe Bryant

Offensive Game:
Inside Scoring:
Mid-Range:
Three Point:
Drawing The Foul:
Versatility:

Defensive Game:
Perimeter Defense:

Three Point: Kobe, Bron, Wade
Drawing The Foul: Wade, Kobe, Bron
Free-Throw Shooting: Kobe, Bron, Wade
Versatility: Kobe, Bron, Wade
Awareness: Kobe, Wade, Bron

Defensive Game:
Perimeter Defense: Kobe, Bron, Wade

Clutch:
Clutch Shots: Kobe, Wade, Bron

Overall, Kobe is the best basketball player in the NBA.

Would like to see this format used more often. With different players of course.

How you can possibly NOT have Lebron as #1 on inside scoring is beyond me.

Good thread. I actually have to think very deeply to answer this. And I can predict Kobe with the most skill in all of these area..

Offensive Game:
Inside Scoring: Lebron, Wade, Kobe
Mid-Range: Kobe, Wade, Lebron
Three Point: Kobe, Lebron, Wade
Drawing The Foul: Wade, Lebron, Kobe
Versatility: Lebron, Kobe, Wade
Awareness: Kobe, Lebron, Wade

Defensive Game:
Perimeter Defense: Kobe, Wade, Lebron
Inside Defense: Lebron, Wade, Kobe
Help Defense: Lebron, Wade, Kobe
Stealing: Wade, Kobe, Lebron
Blocking: Lebron, Wade, Kobe
Rebounding: Lebron, Kobe, Wade
Versatility: Kobe, Lebron, Wade
Awareness: Kobe, Lebron, Wade

Play Making:
Setting Up Teammates: Lebron, Wade, Kobe
Handling: Kobe, Wade, Lebron
Passing: Lebron, Wade, Kobe

Clutch:
Clutch Shots: Kobe, Wade, Lebron
Clutch Plays: Kobe, Wade, Lebron
Clutch Defense: Kobe, Lebron, Wade

IF we attribute 3 points for 1st, 2pts for 2nd, and 1pt for third. then

TOTAL

KOBE: 10 1st, 3 2nd, 7 3rd = 43 points total
LEBRON: 8 1st, 6 2nd, 6 3rd = 42 points total
WADE: 2 1st, 11 2nd, 7 3rd = 35 points total

WOW Kobe slightly ahead of Lebron by 1 pts. So it is obviously very close between Kobe/Lebron and Wade is close 3rd. No bias, if you disagree, then we can debate on which area you think should change.

It should be Kobe, LeBron, and Durant.

Sorry but Durant clearly was the 3rd best player in the league this past season.

How is Lebron ahead of Wade in shot-blocking when Wade actually blocks more shots per game? Similarly, Kobe shouldn't be ahead of Lebron in stealing, nor in any of the clutch categories. Assigning point values is specious, because not all categories are equally important.

No, Lebron and Wade are extremely close in blocking stat, check NBA.com in regular season and playoff. This year playoff, Lebron had close to 1.8 while Wade had 1.6. I have to say Lebron is a much better shot blocker especially from behind and Lebron has 4 inches on him. So it's pretty easy most of Lebron blocks seem easy.

Again, Kobe's steal average vs Lebron is also very close. But Kobe in his prime is a much better steal than Lebron is right now, especially given Kobe **** up finger this past 2 seasons, it's obviously he can't play in the passing lane as often. Yet despite that, his steal average this season is the same as Lebron (1.6spg).

Dude, in a basketball game, it's the all-around package that matter. It's pretty obviously we didn't include free-throw shooting and killer instinct and **** like that. Otherwise it wouldn't be close between Kobe/Lebron/Wade. But I think my evaluation score is very non-bias.
