Pretty cool interview. Pretty shocking how Magic was playing with the pros at the age of 14. :o

I don't know why the NBA doesn't make these old clips available for sale or whatever. I prefer watching actual game clips rather than selected one or two minute clips. It appears from the growing number of clips I see on the internet that there's a number of full games that could be put on dvds for sale. Even all-star games from the sixties would be fascinating.

There are actually a handful of classic games available for purchase on iTunes:

https://itunes.apple.com/us/tv-season/n ... d591896065

Pretty cheap all things considered. I remember back in the day when "google video" was selling current reg season NBA games. I bought a few. Unfortunately, they were heavily copy protected, and when the service went under, the files were unplayable. Pretty weak, especially since it was google of all companies.

Now that's the difference between first and last place.

If it helps, I have over 300 basketball games on dvd. Idk how to upload them onto youtube though. Or if there's another way that I can share some footage with the board, I'm all for it.

No I don't have it, unfortunately. It seems the most popular website with older NBA games available for download (sport-scene.net) has been shut down. Along with that and the NBA taking down many channels on Youtube, the classic games are not as easy to find anymore. If you live outside North America, you could purchase a DVD from pontel.com.

Sorry to bug you in the same way, Dipper, but do you happen to have any full-game or even partial game footage from the '67 EDF (Sixers/Celtics)?

Posting these links just for whoever is interested in these old Celtic/Laker games, but also so I can find these vids again easily.....

This is one of Dipper's, '62 Finals game 7 (incomplete game):

Get to see some prime/peak Baylor in here. Am really impressed with his passing and rebounding, also with his ability to post up Sanders (who is like 2" taller).
Cousy, though gettin' old, looks awesome, too. Man he could really thread the needle.

This one I'm saving for later (Cousy's final game as a Celtic: game 6 of '63 NBA Finals):

Partial game 1964 finals
chamberlain , Meschery , Nate Thurmand, Al Attles and Guy Rodgers vs Russell and company.

Too bad Guy Rodgers couldn't shoot. I really like the way Rodgers scoots up and down the floor looking faster than everybody.

Rodgers and Lenny Wilkins were the forerunners of the quick, fast, super dribbling small guards who came into the league into the seventies. And Rodgers was a tremendous Cousy-like passer. Wilkins usually shot over 40%. Rodgers was usually in the thirties. He was a real, lousy shooter and a gunner. Although the Warriors would have done better with him shooting less, they still didn't have the manpower to match up with the Celtics. But obviously having a pg hoisting up a lot of bad shots didn't help.
