This blows. Just got 2 copyright strikes on my account. All of the games they removed were games on NBC it seems. They not going to let me upload any more games and they may remove my account.

I don't get it though because I'm not making money of the videos and the NBA doesn't even make the games available for people to even buy them. So what if I have 1991 game 2 of the Bulls vs Knicks. Not like you can buy it from the NBA or something because they don't even sell the games.

I have another account still, but I don't believe it is worth the trouble to load up all of those games only to have them taken down. I can understand if I was making money off of the games or something, but the NBA doesn't even sell the games in the store, so why the hell should it be copyright if the common fan can't even buy the games anywhere?

Completely agree that it is stupid and shortsighted of leagues to prevent fans from seeing old games when they don't even sell them themselves. It be one thing if the NBA had some library in which I could buy these games for them to take it down but that isn't the case. Furthermore, one way fans become hardcore is by watching old games, when you prevent that from happening you're making a long-term financial mistake IMO.

The worse is baseball. I'm not sure if you're a fan of the sport but you can't even make tribute videos to players without MLB taking them down. It is like the league actively wants to alienate all fans under 40.

Yeah I tried loading up Yankees vs Red Sox Game 7 in 2003 one time and it was blocked immediately.
