THE LAST THREAD OF THE REALGM TOP 100 LIST

Post#1 » by penbeast0 » Thu Jan 19, 2012 5:07 pm

Everyone that has participated in the list is welcome to post your thoughts; if you haven't posted for awhile, no problem.

We are going to post our final 3 choice for the 98, 99, and 100 spots in order. A 1st place vote will count 3 points, a 2nd place vote 2 points, a 3rd place vote 1 point. You do not need to make arguments this time. I will probably add it all up sometime Sunday afternoon or evening (EST).

Players who have been nominated but not selected yet:

Brad Daugherty
Bill Laimbeer
Mitch Richmond
Shawn Marion

Players who received at least one mention for a nomination last threadd but did not get further support:

Amare Stoudamire
Dan Issel
Neil Johnston

1.) Mitch Richmond

2.) Amar'e Stoudemire

3.) Brad Daugherty

Mitch was solid at everything and a stud scorer.

Amar'e is a beast offensively.

Daugherty was a pretty good big man on some excellent CLE teams.

Wow, interesting. Understandable. Also interesting, Daugherty at the top of the list - was expecting him to eventually make it out of lack of people voting, not because four different people were swayed to his side.

Let's say:

1. Hagan
2. Marion
3. Richmond

Coming up on the end and we need a tiebreaker for 3rd between Shawn Marion and Rasheed Wallace . . . hopefully no more complications but don't let that stop you from voting.

ElGee's a good salesman, changing my 3rd place vote. My final top 3:

1. Hagan
2. Marion
3. Dandridge

1. Bill Laimbeer
2. Lou Hudson
3. Marion

Laimbeer is a pretty unique player with his combination of defense/rebounding and perimeter spacing. He was also the representation of a team's identity in a way that I believe helped them win.

Hudson to me is honestly as good a player as Sam Jones, he's an elite shooter at a high volume, can take it it isn't, has great character. Ideal SG for almost any team.

Marion is another unique player due to his elite rebounding at SF/PF, importance to the Suns fastbreak and basketball IQ. Marion is a guy who was more important to those Suns than he would be to other teams, in a way like Laimbeer, but that's fine by me. I also loved his play on last year's Dallas.

Actually I think that makes it 8 points for Dandridge.
