Maybe because he's 33?

I'm not exactly sure how this refutes my point.

What's this "official" GOAT list? Because most people outside of RealGM already have Kobe as the greatest Laker ever.

As weird as it sounds, if Kobe wins the ring this year as well as Finals MVP, he's the greatest Laker of all time, but he's not above Magic on the all time GOAT list. That 6th ring is someone no one in Laker history has ever done, plus tying the Celtics ring total, plus the Lakers scoring record and games played record, years as an all star etc. But Magic as a player was just better, and won a good deal of championships himself, so he would still be above him on my GOAT list.
Lakers fan since 99.

This is ridiculous. You can't say one is the better Laker and then say the other was the better player when they both played their entire careers with the Lakers. If you're going to take a stand, take a stand instead of waffling and sitting on the fence.

The "G" in GOAT stands for greatest, so if Kobe is a greater Laker then he's also greater overall even if you don't think he's a better player. Understandably people use different criteria in their rankings but this one seems kind of inconsistent.

No
Kobe will never be greater than Magic
Hell he is so many years in the league and he has only 1 MVP and 2(?..Gasol) Finals MVP

Bryant's prime years were spent playing with Smush Parker/Kwame Brown.

It's difficult to win MVP's and championship's that way...

When you look at Kobes career he never really had a platform to win the MVP until his 11th year in the league.

He wasnt going to win an MVP his first 8 years in the league playing with Shaq with the Kobe hater cult giving Shaq all the credit for the lakers success and saying idiotic things like Kobe doesnt get doubled because of Shaq and Kobe cant lead a team without Shaq etc.

Then the next 3 years his team wasnt good enough to have one of the best records in the league which you need to win MVP.

In order to win MVP you have to be perceived as the best player on the team while having one of the best records in the league. The first year Kobe had that platform (08) is the year he won it.
