Strangely enough, this thread barely had any traction last year, and there was never even one made for 2015, so I just updated this one.

He's been the league's best player through the first two weeks.
But in his home dwelling...the hi-top faded warrior is revered. *Smack!* The sound of his palm blocking the basketball... the sound of thousands rising, roaring... the sound of "get that sugar honey iced tea outta here!"

<-- Homer alert! But I agree. I love that he's playing more off the ball (as he's finally allowed to do more so than last year) and it has generated much better looks for him. He's kept the turnovers in check as well, as that was his main issue last year.

I honestly believe klay and curry as a duo are greater than the sum of their parts

i am so rooting for him as most of the BIG west teams had started really slowly for the past 2 weeks (other than HOU and MEM maybe ) I believe GSW could end up with best record in the league if curry keeps this level of play.

Other than the turnovers he's the best player in the league right now.

So, going into full fan mode for a second...

One of the most entertaining players we've seen in the last decade+. I made comments about love to lebron full court outlet pass alley oops this season, but the curry full court pass to thompson for the spot up 3 is just as crazy. Not to mention the recent stealing of inbounds passes for spot up 3s himself. Loving his play right now.

How good offensively do folks think Curry was the last two seasons? How far off from James/Durant/Paul?

EDIT: Also, where specifically do you see improvements from before?

Last year Steph played exclusively with the ball which led to his greater assist totals. He really learned how to take over the game and take game winning shots.

This year he's being moved off the ball and with the new offense I think he may increase his scoring volume even more. He's also been getting into the lane and finishing at a much better rate. He also may increase his ftr, which is essential for his increased volume.

i think he'll have a great shot at MVP this year so long as the WArriors can get a top 3 seed.

Yes, and I think this makes his offensive game even more resilient, it's hard to marginalize someone who's uber-crafty in creating high-volume jumpshots off screens, without even accounting for his GOAT level shooting ability. The fact that this volume can now be coupled with the on-ball ability we've seen him develop over the last few seasons, and the fact that he is indeed looking better with his dribble penetration/finishing/foul-drawing, and this could shape up to be a monster offensive season.

And yet Harden and Kyrie were able to do so completely in FIBA. That's some talent.

Was fun watching his game against the Heat. There still people out there doubting the guy is a top 5 player?

He's amazing to watch when he's on like that, an absolute joy. 40 points on only 19 shots, as a player fan I just wanted him to keep shooting, as a team fan he really doesn't force a lot of shots and had only 1 or 2 heat checks, which isn't bad.
