Nah. Arenas had 3 peak years. His best two, 2006 and 2007, were pretty much indistinguishable from each other statistically. In 2005 he was still an All-Star, just not quite as good as the next 2 years.

Jerome James.
Averaged 13 / 7 / 2bpg in an 11 game playoff run.

Knicks then for some reason gave him a gigantic contract despite him never averaging more then 5ppg / 4rpg in a reg-season.
Over 4 years with the Knicks he played 90 games total and averaged 2.5ppg / 1.8rpg.

Eddy Curry is another example.

Averaged 20 / 7 on 60%TS in 2007.
Second best season in 16 / 5 on 58%.

I wouldn't really call it an outlier year in terms of ability though.
He just played more minutes that year.
