I'd take Shaq/Marion/Kidd because they have a great go-to option in Shaq, which the other trio seemingly lacks. Marion and Kidd were great defenders, with very high bball IQ, and excellent all-around players, so even if neither was really a great second option, I think I'd be more successful with that trio because I'd have Shaq. O'Neal was a great defender at his peak, too, and pretty much whenever he wanted to step up on that end, in the early 2000s (even in 2005, or 2006, he was an excellent post defender). My pick & roll defense with Kidd would still be okay, I guess...

Team Shaq easy. Rose and George are overrated and outmatched by Marion and Kidd, not to mention the dominance of shaq vs Garnett.
