They are nearly identical with a slight edge to Redick. Over the past few years they are identical shooters, Meeks is slightly better on the defensive end but Redick is a better playmaker. Both are ideal 4/5 options on offense as they can shoot and know their role on offense.

I like them both, but I prefer Redick for his passing. He always makes good reads after coming off a pick and catching the ball. This is something Rip Hamilton excelled at and Kyle Korver excels at now.

Meeks is a crazy good signing for Detroit though. Everybody keeps bashing 3 years/$18 million, but I think it's reasonable. I wish NY had him. We got JR Swish instead, SMH...

Redick has developed more than a catch and shoot game he can put it on the floor and drive to the basket a bit and he's a superior playmaker so I'll take him. Meeks is a better defender but you aren't taking either of these guys for their defense

If D'Antoni's system can make Jodie Meeks look like JJ Redick, then what could D'Antoni's system make JJ Redick look like? James Harden?

I think Meeks is better at finishing around the rim in traffic.

Could be, Meeks does his around the rim work on backdoor cuts for the most part but he's good at it.
