Korver/Battier vs Kapono/Bowen

Korver >>>> Kapono
Battier >= Bowen

Don't see it a close comp...

Battier/Korver. Not even close.

Bowen's defense is overrated imo, having the luxury of Duncan sitting back in the paint and Pop's system. Prime Battier has a near all-star level impact and is a great glue guy.

Kapono's only able to hit completely wide open shots. Korver can hit all kinds of jump shots. Not only is he a better shooter, he's better everywhere else in the game as well. The difference between these two players is like the difference between Kobe and JR Smith.

Korver\Battier is simply more talented, easy choice 10 outta 10.

Korver is a million times better than Kapono. There's a reason Korver stuck in this league and Kapono didn't. Battier's not that much worse than Bowen.

I'd definitely rather have Korver/Battier as starters over Kapono/Bowen.

Korver's just a much better overall player than Kapono. Korver's added to his game over the years and has become a decent defender. Kapono was a poor defender and pretty one dimensional player. That's why Kapono only had a couple seasons where he cracked 20+ MPG even though he was a great 3PT shooter.

MEM and HOU Battier was clearly better than any version of Bowen, who was more of a role player than prime Battier.

If I had to rank each player in their prime:

Battier

Korver/Bowen

Kapono
