When your goal is a slowed down game, you might prefer Stockton, Frazier or even Chris Paul over Nash. Nash's biggest strength is running a fast offense with a lot of pick-and-rolls/pops and outgunning the opponent.

He'd be the PG of choice in a team like that:

SF Kevin Durant

PG Steve Nash
And then pray for all players clicking on all cylinders and hitting their shots.
