I still don't see Iverson's case. I'm not at all impressed with his playoff track record. Just 1 playoff season with a TS% over 51.5%. In his 4 playoff runs where his team won a playoff series, he had a TS% under 50% in all 4 seasons.
In contrast Kevin Johnson improved in the playoffs and had some great runs (90 and 94). AI never peaked as a playoff player anywhere near the level KJ did. Why does AI get so much credit for 1 game while people ignore the fact that KJ had a 46-10 against the Champs in a Game 7.

Voting for Robert Parish. Defensive gap between the 2 is large. Offensively, I'm not so much impressed with Iverson; he's an impact player just not as much as he's made out to be here. Parish was impressive the season Bird was out.

Re: RealGM Top 100 List #50
In my first post (second post of this thread) about the "average effect of having Iverson vs. not having him" I'd weighted things for number of games played in each of these years, but just realized I did it wrong; then also began wondering if it's even appropriate to weight them for games played or not. So below I present both weighted (correctly this time) and non-weighted version; and I also went thru and figured up the SRS difference for each year:
AVERAGE effect of having Iverson vs. not having him during '00-'06 (not counting '03 because he didn't miss any games to form a comparison):
NOT weighted for # of games played in each season
+7.4 ppg
+1.0% TS%
+2.3 ORtg
+2.84 SRS
WEIGHTED for games played
+7.5 ppg
+1.1% TS%
+2.5 ORtg
+2.88 SRS
39-57 record (.406) without, 223-173 record (.563) with: +12.9 wins per season.
And again: '04 was a definitive outlier within this time period; he was playing banged up and performing well below his usual standard. If I can cherry-pick a little and remove that year from consideration.....
AVERAGE effect of having Iverson vs. not having him during '00-'02, '05 and '06:
NOT weighted for # of games played in each season
+7.9 ppg
+1.3% TS%
+3.1 ORtg
+3.54 SRS
WEIGHTED for games played
+7.8 ppg
+1.3% TS%
+3.1 ORtg
+3.37 SRS
25-37 record (.403) without, 204-144 record (.586) with: +15.0 wins per season.
