Are we assuming an equivalent period of health for Penny and Hill?

What seasons are representative? Their final healthy seasons?

I assume we're talking about peaks here, right? Penny didn't even last 3 full seasons as a star/superstar, while Hill was a star/superstar for 5 seasons.

If we're talking about peaks, I'd go with Hakeem/Penny by a tiny margin. Everything else goes to Shaq/Grant.

Just assume both Penny and Hill play the same time with prime and Peaks as they were and Shaq and Hakeem as they were as well.

In this case, I'd have to take Shaq and Grant. I'm definitely not taking Hardaway's superior peak over Hill's two extra superstar seasons (to be fair, Grant's '97 RS may've been slightly better than Penny's '96 RS, but Hill never had a good playoff run, unlike Penny, so overall peak, I mean RS+PS, goes to Penny).

'93 or '94 Hakeem with '96 Penny would've been AWESOME, and they seem like the better fit, because both could knock down midrange jumpers with ease, and Hardaway also had a fairly decent 3-point shot, but damn, 2000 Shaq and 2000 Hill seems phenomenal, too (especially considering that Grant could make shots from deep that year), definitely better than 2000 Shaq/Kobe.
