So far this season - Melo or Gay?

Gay's been having probably his best pro season so far this year. He's averaging 21.2 points, 6.3 rebounds, 4.5 assists on 20.6 PER, 14.9 WS/48, 55.4% TS (3.9 VORP)

Melo's been playing through an injury, but he's still putting up decent numbers (22.9 ppg/ 6.6 rpg/ 3.2 apg, 20.9 PER, 11.0 WS/48, 54.0% TS, below 10% TOV). Just 1.6 VORP, though.

I admit I want to prop Gay up a bit.

Never among my favorite players, but he's really fun to watch when he plays well, and it's nice to see that he's finally a really good player, finally put it all together in Sacramento.

hes looked bad against the rockets .... but i would still pick melo. Barely.

His shot was off (his lowest FG% game of the season), so the timing for this thread might not be great, but he still contributed in other areas, and that's nice to see (8 rebounds, 8 assists, 3 steals).

yea did other things but kinda gave the rockets the win.. He was sort off for the last couple nights . He hasn't been as good as he was at the very beginning

This is a rare stretch where you can compare the two, but I'd be pretty comfortable banking on Melo for the balance of the season.
