Richard Dumas

Anyone remember him? I was living in Phoenix in 1993 when they went to the championship. He was a huge part of that team that included KJ, Majerle, and Barkley. Too bad drugs got the best of him. The guy could jump like nobody I had seen and I thought it was the beginning of a superstar. He barely lasted 2 years in the NBA. I wonder how good he couldve been had he stayed drug free.

Not too bad from a rookie (let alone a rookie, drafted in the second round...). :o
The NBA Finals, against a legendary team... almost winning the title.

One of those "could have been" stories.

I remember him vividly. Athletic as hell. Quick. Good shooter. But how do you mention that team without discussing Oliver Miller and Elliott "socks"Perry?

Man.. he was unstoppable during that finals. The secret weapon for the Suns. Very good outside shot and incredible athleticism. If he stayed out of drugs probably couldve been similar to a Paul George type of player.

I remember him and like stated before was a big time what if player. For some reason he seemed like he would be a better version of Cliff Robinson

He was one of the most explosive, exciting players I've ever seen play. Too bad it was so short lived.
