Westbrook is such a good interior passer. I think it exploits the Warriors lack of size when they play Green at center.

Westbrook is an animal. At this point, through the regular season and up to the WCF, he's easily in my top 4 point guard peaks of all time. Possibly top 3.

He's dominating this series in every way possible. Scoring, passing, rebounding, defense, and putting GS in foul trouble. He's been a one-man wrecking ball on a 73-win team and clearly outplayed and dominated the "GOAT peak" on both ends of the court.

That's the game
But in his home dwelling...the hi-top faded warrior is revered. *Smack!* The sound of his palm blocking the basketball... the sound of thousands rising, roaring... the sound of "get that sugar honey iced tea outta here!"

This is ridiculous, you need to stop man....

I need to stop? I swear on my life Im not reverse jinxing here. GS looks nothing like they did in the RS and fatigue for 73/ injuries / sloppy play / lack of effort are to blame. OKC is a 60 win caliber team in a vacuum and the warriors are being completely destroyed. I dont know what other adjectives you can use, the thunder are clearly not just lucky yet there is something off about GS.

Westbrook was right. Curry never face a PG who can go at him that hard like Westbrook.

Steph cant hide on defense and take easy assignments against this Okc team. Having to actually expend a significant amount of energy on defense isnt easy to sustain that alltime great level offense. We saw hints of it against Portland but they dont have the defense or bigs defensively Okc does

I don't know whose fault it is to put Steph on Westbrook. Either it's Steve or Steph want to prove that he can play D against the elite because right now Westbrook is destroying him. The Warriors should have put Clay on Westbrook and allow Steph to hide behind but his ego to prove is working against him.

Can't believe OKC only had 13th DRTG this year, their talent on that end looks like it's on another level than ever before

The Thunder are a ridiculously good team tbh. I think it was just a matter of Donovan being a new coach so they needed to make adjustments.

I also think they are a matchup nightmare for both the Spurs + Warriors. Never team has ever faced with such athleticism and length.
The Warriors are playing worse than their norm part of it may be fatigue and injuries but the other is simply because the Thunder have been playing great and are a tough matchup.

Lol at the quotes on GOAT peak - you implying peak WB > peak Curry?

He's dominating the individual matchup for sure, but it's not like Durant's ability to make plays, and stretch the floor from the 4, or ibaka/adam's play haven't been nearly as impactful, or as important to the series as Westbrook being better than Curry - the entire TEAM is defending Curry well, not just him (case in point: that absolutely RIDICULOUS block in the first quarter!)

I don't want to take away from Westbrook, who still stands out with his ridiculous motor in a team full of standout performances - but I don't think we should overreact either

Just the expenditure of energy is absolutely inspiring. Reminds me a bit of those must win LeBron games against Boston and Indiana where he would go into a beserker rage and give everything of himself. What a player this guy is. And I love that every time Curry gets something going he goes right back at him twice as hard.

I really think as much as anything it's the force of his will that's making Golden State look lethargic. They weren't prepared for this type of monster.

This is a top 3 PG peak imo. He doesn't seem human.

Don't think there is a chance in hell the Thunder win game 5 in Golden State. So it all becomes about game 6 for them.

Credit Donovan for how hes made Roberson from a complete liability on offense to someone who can punish Golden state for ignoring them. I kind of feel bad for Steph with how bad his defense has gotten exposed this series
