Is Draymond Green a top 3 PF?

Post#1 » by BaggageHandler » Wed May 4, 2016 9:21 am

To me he is.

Aldridge
Green
Davis

That's my top 3 in no order.

2 good games and suddenly Lamarcus is a top 3 PF? Anthony Davis is still the best PF, followed by Draymond. Blake Griffin is 3rd.

2 good games?

He average like 35-40ppg couple of years ago against the Rockets and 23+10 last 2seasons with the Blazers.

Theres a reason why Spurs are so good this year and it isn't just Kawhi.

Griffin can't seem to stay healthy that's why he didn't crack my top 3. But i do agree that healthy Griffin > LMA.

Really feeling for all of the people whose wife has recently left them. Hopefully Green's amazing playoffs will make you feel better!

This season he was the best PF in the league, followed by Millsap and then Aldridge/Love.
I personally thought Love was better than LMA this season, but they were very close.

Yes he is. AD, Blake, Draymond. Slightly ahead of LaMarcus. Millsap and Bosh trail them. Can't see an argument for Love in Top 5 anymore.

If you consider health and how many games played, along with his improved defense he definitely deserves to be top 5.

Yew AD when healthy is the best but for this year he shouldn't be considered the best.

As far as talent, Griffin, Davis are at the top.

Draymond is such a difficult player to evaluate...probably as difficult as he is to game plan for. You see what he does on the court, its obvious that he makes the Warriors so much better through a variety of methods. Yet, I think he's getting better. As hard as it to believe but I think he is becoming even more confident in his abilities. I even saw some Magic Johnson last night when he whipped the ball to corner to somebody for a 3pt shot...I forget who it was but it was memorable.

I think it is a different discussion on who was top 3 based on the RS, but right now it is a battle between Dray and LA, no one else is even close.....
I'm so tired of the typical......

No, he actually had a huge drop off after the first two undeniably monster games. Anyway, I would have a hard time ranking those guys after Davis, who is the nr. 1 for me. Total chaos after him, at least for me.

Not sure about top 5, but top 10, definitely. The guy made me a believer, he just does so many things ridiculously well on the court... He is also proving himself without Curry which is huge because that was one of the key arguments of his doubters, including me. You can't say that anymore. Sure he is better with the Chef on the floor, but he is still very good without him. There is no major drop off for him, he does the same things, possibly the only difference is that his looks from deep aren't as open.

Yeah Green was the best PF in the league this year, and I don't see much of an argument for anyone else tbh.

It's more of a legit argument as to whether or not Green was top 3 OVERALL this year.

Well if look at what they have been doing i think if Lamarcas keeps it up it will be him i mean doing well against OKC is different then Houstan and Blazers different level teams. I mean Curry is gone but Klay has pretty much replaced him and is monster 25.9/4.1/3.6/1.3 on 611 ts strait beasting it. Green is up there but people saying he top 5 when he not even best on his team with out Curry with Thompson beasting it i say he is top 10 at best. As for pf it is Love, Lamarcas and Green in play offs they are close.

I'm pretty sure that was just for the first two games of that series too, lol. He did finish the series with 29.8 ppg in 41.1 mpg with a .546 TS%, but the last 4 games he averaged 22.5 ppg / .470 TS% after being hot in the first two (44.5 ppg / .652 TS%).

Kevin Love was considered the best PF in the league before he played with Lebron.
