Consider ABA Dr J as well here.

To me it's clearly Oscar, for both peak and career. Dr. J is the most overrated great IMHO; his stat line looks like LeBron but game footage makes him look like Durant without the 3 point shooting nor defense.

Oscqr was a different beast. He was way ahead of his time in both the scoring and playmaking realms.

Dr J may have him for a single year peak, but for entire prime and career i'd go Oscar.

Oscar impact is more consistent and he has better prime than Dr J. Julius was spectacular at his peak (1976) and he had some great seasons at level of prime Oscar (1977, 1980-82) but Robertson played near to his peak for a whole decade (1961-69).

I disagree with people talking about Dr J being overrated though. He was amazing leader, great scorer and all-around player. I'd say his numbers underrate him because he wasn't very high volume scorer. He's very good passer (clearly better than Durant based on eye-test) and nice help defender (though weak man defender). He also stepped up in playoffs, which is very important thing.
