I didn't watch much of the Spurs vs. Hornets series, but wasn't Tim Duncan getting double-teamed for most of the time? Since they were attempting to run the offense through him most of the time, wouldn't that make him the number 1 option?

I laugh in the face of people who think KG is a top 5 player in this league. he is not in the same class as the top 4(Kobe,CP3,Lebron,Duncan), not even close, these guys have already proven to be the leaders of there teams and knows what it takes to make there teammates better and are proven winners with the exception of paul but u can watch him and tell he is going to have a very successful career.

Probably the guy you quoted lol.

If he took out Manu and Dirk as 1 and 2 and moved the other 3 slots up it wouldn`t be so controversial and off base.

EDIT: Actually nevermind, I almost forgot that the OP has Parker listed as number 1. :nonono: :wavefinger: :o

West is becoming overrated due to one good game. He doesn't belong near these lists. Neither does Roy until he proves he can live up to his "intangibles." JJ, however, cracks mine (or just misses out) because of the way he destroyed elite teams the 2nd half of the year and vs. the Cs. Brand should be on these lists, as should Baron. These two-way leaders belong higher than one-way "stars" like Arenas or Melo who can't beat weak East teams in the POs(Arenas) or get swept (Melo).

1. Kobe
2. LeBron
(Wade also in the mix but he has to prove himself again.)

Rest aren't in the class of these 3. But here they are anyway.

3. Duncan but he's slipping, gets my vote for now cause the Spurs are still winning.

4. Deron Williams. A lot better than Chris Paul. Way more skilled.

5. Amare- Has to play both ends if he wants to be mentioned with Kobe and LeBron. Offensively a BEAST!!

6. Manu- Could average 30 if he didn't sacrifice so much for the team.

7. Parker- If he's making the mid range J u can't guard him.

8. Paul- Great decision maker but needs to work on his jumper, cause everything he gets is wide open. He should knock a lot more down. Also I think the system plays a huge part in his success.

9. KG- But still has to prove himself in the next month.

10. D.Howard- Still has heaps to improve on, still just scratching the surface. He'll be in the LeBron, Kobe class in 2 or 3 years.

The rest are on even par- Nash, Dirk, AI, Melo, Bosh, T-Mac, Yao, Gil (When healthy), Billups, Baron, Gasol, JJ. But really from Kobe and LeBron down it's too close to call who

It's funny that you knock Arenas and Melo yet Brand has only been to the playoffs once his whole career. Arenas wasn't healthy the last 2 years so not sure how you can knock him for that, because he has been out of the second round on a team with Jared Jefferies and Kwame Brown starting. Two guys who can't crack the rotation on the Knicks and Grizzlies now.

'Melo has went up agaisnt teams like the Spurs twice and the Lakers. Teams that the Nuggets shouldn't have beat anyways.

Wow. Are you being for real in that top 20? I mean based upon your conclusions, Shaq, Robert Horry should be in your top ten.

If I were to rank my top players list. I would do so, by looking at the players right now. Previous accomplishments, really shouldnt mean much as it is the top list right now. These players should be leaders, play both sides of the ball well, and be role models/players.

1.Kobe Bryant
2.Lebron James
3.Chris Paul
4.Dwight Howard
5.Tim Duncan

Brand has won a series, and almost beat one of the best non-ship teams this decade. Arenas can't win PO games/series in a weak East, which is pathetic regardless of his health. As for Melo, he's 0-5 in series, and I don't see that changing any time soon. Him and Gil really need to step up their game asides from scoring to be considered as superstars.
