Has BD become this underrated due to one bad month? Gasol is now overrated due to being on the big market team. Amare should be lower because he's just another one-way "superstar."

yea, i guess i can see that. Wade has come a long way since his 07-08 campaign, but that was basically because he was injured.

I've got to be honest though... I knew Wade would come back strong, but I did not expect him to be this good (especially with no Shaq or Mourning).

His supporting cast is pretty decent this year... assuming JO stays healthy (he already has a broken nose :-? ) and guys like Chalmers and Beasley continue to improve. IMO, the team still needs a PF along the lines of Chris Bosh or Amare and a veteran PG. Also, their bench is still pretty weak.

I think 50 wins is within reach for this team if all goes well. Hopefully, Miami will make some major moves over the summer and get another top 20 player along with a veteran bench.

I love it.

What I also love is how about 98% of the 2008 members here considered Kobe Bryant the best basketball player period, yet todays naysayers keep insisting he hasn't been the best since 2006, if not any year at all. Haha.

First off, what an awful, awful list.

Here's my top 20:

1. LeBron James
2. Kobe Bryant
3. Dwyane Wade
4. Chris Paul
5. Dwight Howard
6. Carmelo Anthony
7. Deron Williams
8. Tim Duncan
9. Brandon Roy
10. Paul Pierce
11. Kevin Garnett
12. Chris Bosh
13. Tony Parker
14. Dirk Nowitzki
15. Kevin Durant
16. Joe Johnson
17. Chauncey Billups
18. Amare Stoudemire
19. Pau Gasol
20. Danny Granger

Now, what I will say I did that list out by going through teams and rosters and put down who i thought even had a chance of making this list. Eliminated a few, then sorted by position and how i rank each by position. Then collaborated them into making this list. Then lastly, put the actual number like #1 LeBron.

Having said that, people that shocked me the most are Melo and Pierce. I think Melo is the second best SF in the game, but seeing him at #6, shocked me because normally I never see him that high on a list like this. With Pierce, I really tried to not be a homer and I almost put Durant, and even considered Granger, ahead of him. But Pierce has still got it and it shows this year. Granger is still scoring on a bad team and Durant still has some holes in his game (and he is by far my favorite non-Celtic).
