Larry "Grandmama" Johnson or Elton Brand, both at prime, who would you take?

Brand was obviosly better longer so there's no point comparing their careers, but in their Prime, it's a lot closer. LJ's only "Prime" seasons were his first 2, then his back went out.

Brand was maybe 2 inches taller, a lot longer and he could block shots. Similar rebounders, Similar efficiency. LJ was a better passer.

I think, Brand plays in a "softer era", but I'm not sure that helps or hurts a physical player like him.

it's really close, and if you consider that some players improve after their first 2 years, LJ might have gotten better as he went into his mid 20s, but that's unfair speculation.

Based on what we saw of them in their primes, I think it's Brand by a hair, because of his D, but, I'm not 100% sure. LJ brought wins to his team immediately. Brand didn't always win.
