Amar’e Stoudemire to Reportedly Work on Postgame With Hakeem Olajuwon

Hakeem Olajuwon’s latest pupil, according to a report, is Knicks’ star forward Amar’e Stoudemire. STAT will apparently learn from The Dream this summer, per ESPN: “A source close to Amare Stoudemire said that the Knicks’ power forward will work with NBA legend and post-up coach Hakeem Olajuwon later this offseason. Olajuwon will fly to New York in August to train with Stoudemire. The source also said Tyson Chandler might join Stoudemire for the workouts, but that hasn’t been confirmed. Olajuwon, 49, has previously worked one-on-one with three of the best players in the game: Kobe Bryant (2009), Dwight Howard (2010) and LeBron James last summer. Each player showed immediate improvement on the block in the following season. Stoudemire’s future work with Olajuwon could signal Mike Woodson’s coaching strategy to use him more in the low post and have Chandler become the team’s main high pick-and-roller with Jeremy Lin and Carmelo Anthony. The T-Wolves look good on paper. We'll see what Love and the rest of the team does while Rubio is out.

They don't even look good on paper. They seem to have the same problem that they had last year where they have no true SF or SG on the roster except now they replaced Beasley with Kirilenko. Derrick Williams still has to show that he can play at SF because he's going to be firmly benched behind Love, Budinger isn't really an answer at either spot, Roy is likely to be TMac 2.0, will give them 3 minutes of brilliance followed by lumbering up the court or sitting on the bench rubbing his knee. I like the Shved signing but we'll have to wait and see how well he makes the transition right away.

That all doesn't matter once Rubio gets back because he proved he could run that dilapidated ship to a playoff race last year but it's more than likely that by the time he gets back and works through the rust that that won't be a possibility.

No idea but I would guess no. He suffered through the entire NBA season with a calf injury he received from playing overseas last year and just recovered from a broken foot. I think he usually would but because he's entering into a contract season I don't think he'll risk another injury.

Did any of you watch the Brooklyn vs. LA Lakers game last night? The first half was a scoring fest, the second not so much, but LA came from behind at the half to win.

There will be some god games on tonight as well before Thanksgiving.
