Nice thread. Really excited about this game being on ESPN vs the 2nd hottest team in the East. Hope the crowd has a good showing.

Thanks. I never really go all out for the game threads but I figured I'd make an exception for this game lol. I just hope we get the win with this being a nationally televised game. America is about to see some superb ball movement :D

Good stuff. If the Pistons are going to win (unlikely), we're going to need the one guy we have that you can't handle to go off. Drummond. He's been up-and-down lately, but I guarantee we aren't winning unless he goes something like 20-20 and gets some of your bigs in foul trouble.

Looking forward to the nationally televised game -- I hope both teams look good. I know the Hawks will. :-)

Our Hawks are favored to win by 8 points.
Let's get another win and continue this amazing run.

Pretty sure this is also the Pistons first (and maybe only) game on TNT or ESPN this year... so I think that both teams have that little extra motivation of having this one chance on National TV to show what they're made of.

And another side note, Pistons are trying to set a new franchise record for road wins in a row of 8 straight. Their current 7 straight ties a franchise record.

Knicks have the worst record in the NBA, and have had maybe the most nationally televised games in the NBA this year. The Hawks have the 2nd best record, and the best in the East, but this is our first of two ESPN/TNT games this season. Talk about big market bias.

Anyway, this should be a fun game, the start of a long home-stand where every game will hopefully be sold out.

Both teams look like they aren't enjoying the pressure of national TV. Nothing going in but some layups.

Wow. Ugly start. Pretty sure almost all of the Pistons points that 1st quarter consisted of Drummond tip-ins

Well the good news is they have the whole f*ing half time to think about how awful they just played and what to do differently.

I have no doubt Bud will make adjustments and motivate the team accordingly. Same with SVG, I fully expect both teams to play much better next half.

But I am very concerned by the interior defense and lack of rebounding.

Drummond by himself has almost as many reobunds as the entire starting lineup combined.

DET is shooting dreadfully. Their offensive rebounding is a big part of why they are even in this game. Our dreadful shooting is the other reason.

Team is looking fatigued after 4 games in 5 nights and then having a day game today. Settling for A LOT of 3s.

Can nobody today hit a 3 but Millsap and Korver?

Drummond is a freak of nature, but he is getting away with holding down other guys on the shoulder to stop them from jumping while he goes for the offensive rebound.

Not that its the main way we are getting killed on the boards, its just something I am noticing.
