Yeah, I wasn't even trying to waste time on an argument as pointless as that. More so acknowledging that CLE's entire defensive scheme is designed to crowd Korver and allow Teague/DS to fire away from the outside.

Trying to disparage the leading scorer in the playoffs...on the top team...that's beaten us 9 straight times...in favor of a 'below average backup PG'...in the midst of a second catastrophic post-season...is pretty nonsensical.

KI is an All-NBA talent, putting up career post-season numbers on the best team in the East. Attempting to diminish that is just stubborn beyond reason.

But we do have to find a way slow KI down. LeBron is gonna get his. But Irving managed to run a steady offense, make timely buckets and play solid defense on Monday. He stemmed the tide when we were making our run, before LBJ took over in the stretch.

How do we adjust to that? How do we limit the top scoring option in the playoffs right now?

A lot of good luck today guys. Curios to see what would be Bud's adjustments for this game.

Edit: Hawks start strong, but then the same issues are appears: TT's offensive rebounds, missing easy lay-ups and letting the Cavs hit open threes in trasition.

Cavs holding us to one shot attempt and then pushing the ball the other way...scoring 6 quick points in transition as a result.

No wonder LeBron is talking about facing Wade and treating this series like a bye.

We gotta get a two [way] threat at SF/SG.

LeBron doesn't even attempt to guard Thabo on the perimeter.

Doesn't expend much energy on D against KK or Bazemore either.

I guess this'll just be one of those series' where the Cavs are always hot from 3 and we're always cold. Will probably be a sweep.

Their players can hit 3's. Our players cant. Doesn't matter how many open looks from the 3 point line we can create if you dont have the players who can hit them.

Unacceptable transition defense for the Hawks so far.

Seven consecutive threes by CLE.

We can't even orchestrate a good two point shot in the half court.

This offense just doesn't work when we miss threes. That's a strategic error for a team filled with mediocre shooters.

At least we scored more first quarter points tonight than Game 1...that's something.

About to get embarrassed tonight and swept by Sunday. But hey, we had that perfect January a year ago.

Did you see the TNT reporter say basically that teague and others said "korver needs to get open and cut more to the basket, we can't force him the ball".

You're starting 2 guard can't get open and teammates acknowledge that.

- How a punk drugged player like JR can shoot so good is behind me.
- I felt that as long as you stick to your gameplan (penetrate to the rim and kick out) you are playing a good offense. But for some reason Hawks alwyas have these nonsense threes instead of drive to the rim.

There were people on the board last year that scoffed at that comparison.

JR SMITH has a text book perfect shot. Pretty form, excellent follow through. He's a good shooter for a reason
