i always think Doc is overrated. Jason Terry used to score 15+ points each game, now he just.....
Doc's system doesnt suit every player, i hate how Terry doing the exact thing as Ray used to play. that's not how Terry would play.

He was only in the game to keep the streak alive, I don't see how you could have watched that and thought otherwise. Win or lose, that completely cheapens the accomplishment to me and he deserves to get his streak broken.

I said stop acting like he cared about his stats more than the game. The game got away from us and he padded. I admitted it already.

I don't think he cared more about the streak than the win, but it's obvious after tonight that he's always going to have the streak in the back of his mind instead of just letting it come in the flow of the offense. It just makes it a lot less impressive to me with games like this.

The streak wasn't that impressive in the first place. I SAID that when I made the GB thread about it. Its an interesting tidbit that no one will remember in 20 years until some other PG threatens it. Its fun and its not hurting us in anyway. People are just being whiny

LOL.

Terry is 11 games into a season with a COMPLETELY new team. Stop it. And for God's sake; the guy just dropped 20 yesterday.

Dude is still adjusting to his new role. That's all. I'm sure it's tough having to share minutes with Terry at the 2.

+1

There are many teams this season have added many new players but it just Boston still struggling to bring everyone together. At least no other team is disappointing as Boston Cs is.

I definitely think Doc is overrated. How many times Pop has let this happen to his team. Game after game Cs suck. They win luckily against Wizards. Players go down in production in doc system and play better outside when they join other teams. Anyway, This is not overreaction but I don't see Cs getting past 2nd round this season in playoffs. May be we will be lucky to get past 1st round if we face Philly or NY.

The other major variable that we won't see for a while is Avery Bradley.

I think I'm going to practice some yoga and get my Zen on until the all-star break.

Not going to be easy, but I'ma try.

I think the new guys are having a difficult time adjusting to Doc's brand of basketball. They are being tailor-fitted to suit the team's needs, and their game suffers for it. Not everyone can adjust as well as KG, Ray and Paul did when they were brought together.

Think about it - most if not all of the role players that are now on different teams seem to be playing better than when they were with the Celtics. Quis, Baby, Sheed, Ray, Nate, etc. That's not intended as a knock on Doc - I think he's a great coach - but sometimes he just has to let his players play.

what a crappy effort. detroit got into us physically and we showed absolutely no fight. i understand we had tired legs and were front rimming everything which is a sign of tired legs but c'mon show a little heart. Once again Doc went to small ball when we were getting killed inside. this was a perfect game to play darko. down 20 what is there to lose. we should have beaten Nj an we should have beaten this team. we have lost a lot of games early in the season to teams we shouldn't have and it's only going to get harder from here on

Lakers?

Lakers had tough start and I agree they looked bad but some of their losses also came against tough teams. At least they are playing encouraging ball now. They dont just give up anymore. You will see.

They also fired the coach for sucky depressing performance. Not sure how Cs are in any different position. We may not have 4 all stars but we also have short window with KG. KG, Paul are old. We got KG back not to just sell tickets. I think we should give best shot at title. I think we are done for years once KG is gone and Paul is gone.

Anyway I am out until after all star break. Let's see anything changes.

Paul Pierce and Kevin Garnett don't care about stats or personnel streaks.

Well let me start by saying I did not see a second of this game. Got home from the pats game, checked the score and saw they were down 10 against the freaking pistons so I did not bother to turn the game on. Looking at the box score Green PP and Terry were awful. Green is quickly becoming the worst offseason signing in the whole NBA. Ainge completely panicked by signing this guy to that ridiculous contract. Green is quickly becoming my most hated Celtics since Drunk Vin Baker.

Their 6-5 record speaks for itself as well as how they have been playing. They lose to the best team in the NBA. Lose to a Bucks team at home, They barely beat the wizards twice, lose to an average sixers team at home. Beat a couple of decent teams in the Bucks and Bulls. Beat an average Jazz team, lose to a good nets team, beat an awful raptors team then lose to the freaking 1-8 pistons.

What we have here boys is at best an average NBA team. The good news is that things get much easier when they play the spurs on Wednesday and the Thunder on Friday. Oh wait, no it doesn't.

Not sure about you guys I am losing interest in sitting there for almost 3 hours and watching a team that does not seem to care, is very boring to watch, a team that cannot rebound, a team that cannot play defense, and a team that is constantly struggling on offense. I watch these games to be entertained and there is nothing entertaining about this team anymore.
17 and counting.
